sandra: for someone who wants to give a child a gift about this saint, it is well done. Some of stories about St. Patrick may be myths, but the parent can explain the difference between true and a myth.....St. Patrick actually is a person who was once alive. Santa is a myth, but parents handle that with a child...eventually.

Ms Ann: Love this book. It was perfect for explaining St Patrick's Day history and common traditions to 3-5 year olds. I especially liked that we were able to teach the meaning of the shamrock. We planted shamrocks too add to the lesson

ProudMother: This book is perfect for PreK to 2nd grade. Does a great job of explaining St. Patrick's Day. I use it in my 1st grade classroom - I teach in a Catholic School. It captures the children's attention and explains it at their level. I love this series. I just wish the author would make these book in a larger size.

Britney MechamBritney Mecham: This book is adorable. I was looking for a book that would explain the history of Saint Patrick's day in a simple, child friendly way. But, also I really wanted to know the background story for myself too! This book did just that and it is so cute. I love the illustrations. They are so fun and just make you want to dive in and try out some of the other holiday traditions (or take a trip to Ireland) to get a true feel for the holiday.

Lacey: I like the illustrations, and the storyline is fine, but leprechauns leaving treasure on St. Patrick’s day is a tradition for us, so when one of the pages explained that leprechauns aren’t real, well, that doesn’t work for us. I liked the historical tidbits about St. Patrick, though.
