Ole45mag: Bought this G9 Jun 7, 2022. Got a boatload of len's and batteries too. If I am out taking photos and I shut it off, sometimes it won't power back on. Sometimes the top information comes on, but nothing will work. No screen, viewfnder, nothing. Switched S.D. cards and both are top of the line cards, SANDISK EXTREME PRO 300 mb/s, 128 GB size. IF...I take the battery out then reinstall it, it works. But turn it off and 5/6 of 10 times, no power. Bought it here NEW and ships and sold by Amazon. Lumix and other cheaper batteries, all the same problem. Haven't looked, but I'd bet there's a 1 year warrantee, which means it ran out 21 days ago. And isn't that how it always goes. I want my Nikon D850 back. I also have a Z6-2. It's fine and with the adaptor I can use most of my old f len's, but I have so much invested in nearly every lens Lumix makes. Once had a Panasonic 1990's "C" Camcorder, and boy did that thing stink like a skunk in the road. But my Panasonis 1970's stereo, awesome. So, photo quality awesome through all lens types. And I MEAN AWESOME. But it this a repete of my old camcorder? First expencive AMAZON sold product I ever had that got weird right after a year of low usage...

Ivan: I have been using this camera on and off for a year now. The things I like on this camera are that the menu is accessible, not hard to use, a lot of options (tons), image quality is great on Panasonic 25mm prime lens, video quality is very good with a lot of features up to 180fps for slow motion, and down to 24fps 10-bit 4k for cinematic view. 20 megapixels and the sensor quality to me is more than enough for my amateur photography. It is not good at all in low light, and the autofocus is not great. It definitely needs a frame or some helper for shooting videos because it is not stable when shooting manually even though its inner stabilizer is great. It has a small screen, I need to buy external screen for it to be able to shoot videos. Overall it is a good camera for that money, not the best in 4/3rd but good for advanced beginners.

Dr. JPSanchezDr.

AinaBrks: Large than my older model Lumix, but very manageable .
I like the "Touch Shutter", just by touching the subject as a point of focus camera will focus and take picture automatically.

Basil: Moved from Canon to Lumix system 2018 and never felt to turn back again.
Upgraded to this flagship in 2021.
Underrated camera series.

Justin L.: After exhaustive research, I decided to go with this camera above even its "full-frame" and APS-C competitors. The 80MP RAW hi-res mode was a big part of it, and as a fine art landscape photographer, I've been using that mode very heavily. I have one of the custom buttons on the camera set to activate it when pressed and have made probably 90+% of my images with this camera using that mode. It also creates a 20MP file as well, just in case you need it for anything. I'm used to waiting for the leaves to stop blowing around before exposing, as I shoot a lot of film and long exposures with my other cameras, so the motion limitation wasn't a big deal, and neither was the tripod requirement.
The ergonomics and menu design on this camera are leagues better than the competing cameras, especially Sony, who's menus seem to have been programmed by a drunk engineer after too much overtime. Compared to Olympus, they are far better as well. The menus are very intuitive and easy to figure out as well as customize. You can also configure most of the buttons and knobs on the camera to do anything you want, which is great and truly allows you to make the camera your own by setting it up...

No gracias La pierdo !

thepinoy: Use Case: Mainly stills photography & occasional video (Advanced Amateur Level)
🎉 PROS:
Versatile Use: Excellently held its own across varied scenarios - from the bustling San Diego Comic Con and vibrant auto shows to the picturesque Leavenworth in snowy Seattle.
Durability: Even in snowy conditions, it did not let me down, capturing memories without faltering.
Quality: A reliable lens (Panasonic 12-35 F/2.8 II) complemented the camera’s capabilities, ensuring crisp and vivid images across a variety of settings.
Sturdy Design: The design and external controls of this version feel superior and user-friendly.
👎 CONS:
Auto-focus: Experienced some hunting during snowfall, which might impact spontaneous or action shots.
Image Noise: Higher ISO levels tend to introduce noise, albeit fixable with AI noise removal in Adobe Lightroom Classic.
🆚 Comparing to the New G9 II:
While the newly announced G9 II brings certain enhancements to the table, the original G9 retains some advantages in terms of external controls and the presence of the top LCD screen. The upgrades weren’t significant enough to warrant a...
