LiniAyre536: In this easy to read book, the main branches of palmistry are discussed and shows the reader how they will begin to understand the major and minor lines found on the palm as well as other important aspects such as the flexibility of the hand, mounts and patterns of fingerprints.

Lagerstrom stresses that palmistry is not a means of predicting the future but rather a journey of discovery. For example a flexible hand may mean a pliancy of ideas. Reading a palm is a lot more than just looking at the lines on a hand. Palmistry delves in to the texture of the hand, shape of fingers and fingertips. Whilst every hand will have a certain amount of individuality, everyone will have a line of heart, a mount of Jupiter etc., so the art of learning palmistry to is to seek out and understand what is seen on the hand. Encouraged by the author, the reader can flip through the book reexamining tracks and the different aspects to palm reading.

Overall, it is a good introduction to palmistry without being bogged down in the history of palmistry and the technicalities of names. The information provided on interpreting mounts and lines gave some confidence of reading my own palm, but as...
