Sharon Simpson: Brilliant book. Considering I brought this second hand, it is in good condition.
Lovely insight to Chuck's life and his relationship to God.
Found out things I didn't know.
Chuck Norris is a hero and a true inspiration to me.

SquidlyDiddley: Almost everybody likes Chuck Norris. It's just the way it is. He's a likable guy. I remember sitting at a drive in theater watching Norris and Lee in the best fight you could see on film in the Coliseum. I've always liked his persona. I'm not too sure I like this book. The best parts were the info on the tournaments he participated in. He very believably related the tactics to fighting. Parts of this book really bug me. He has a chapter about that POS Total Gym. He had a whole chapter in the book and it read just like a script for a TV ad. His admission that he screwed around on his wife (who was awaiting his return from overseas military duty at the time) really made me think bad of him. He went to Korea for two years unaccompanied as they say in the military. Of course like all young guys he got married not long before he split for overseas. So when he comes back the little wife is preparing an apartment for the two of them. He shows his appreciation by cheating on her. He may have been man enough to open up and admit it but he only did it after a Daughter showed up and claimed to be his kid. Norris is human and people make mistakes. But that's the kind of poor judgement that...

7777: To be honest i never grew up with Chuck Norris movies. But his Biography is one of the best i ever read, because it is very simple, smart & honest written, Chuck shares his life principles, how he thinks and some funny anecdotes (Bruce Lee, Mcqueen...) !! Very smart and a great motivational Book, about a man who never got something for a free ride, who had to fight for his success and get it in the end!! I love this book! And i even read more than the half of this book.

Adi: Now don't get me wrong, I am a huge fan of Chuck Norris and have been since a small boy and first watch the epic final battle between him and Bruce Lee in Way Of The Dragon.
But although this book starts well by half way through you want a little bit more depth. It skips over huge parts of Chucks life and hardly mentions most of his films, I would have loved to here story's about some of the actors he has starred with, and considering Walker Texas Ranger ran for 8 years. You would expect some interesting and fascinating facts and story's, but no there's nothing.
There's no denying Chucks life has been a struggle and I have tremendous respect for him for everything he has achieved. But I really was disappointed, and was left wanting more.

StrikerONE58: As a martial artist myself I have long been an admirer of 6 times undefeated middleweight Karate Champion Chuck Norris. While he's never going to receive an Oscar for his acting talent alone, there's no denying that he's turned out some great action movies over the years, most filled with morals and life lessons. In today's cyber driven society you can find out most things about anyone but to actually read someones life story in their own words is something else entirely. My book arrived with the post on Saturday morning just as I was making coffee so I sat down to glance at a few pages.3 hours later i was still sat in the same place my coffee long since cold and forgotten as I'd become more and more engrossed in the life of Mr Carlos(Chuck) Ray Norris. The story is a frank and honest account of one of the worlds greatest fighters who rose from childhood poverty to become the multi millionaire film star and friend of American Presidents.Master Norris has very strong moral and religious beliefs that have helped and guided him in good times and bad.
There is definitely far more to Master Norris than your average pampered film star. You only have to read about the work he's done as a...

DA: * Minor Spoilers Ahead *
I thought this book was great. It starts off with Chuck's early life at home with his mother and father. The story gets interesting to read since Chuck lived a very poor life as a child and on top of that, his father was an alcoholic. He talks about his time with his brothers, and his mother, and his relationship with God. At the next stage in the book, Chuck talks about his development as a martial artist and his career as a America's top martial artist champion. Then he gets into his acting career as well as his political career (although he never ran for anything, he has a very good relationship with many former and current president, Bush).
I was disappointed with the ending of the book though. It seems Chuck spent a great deal in the first half of the book explaining his outlook on life, his relationship with God, his family, and his career choices. In the ending though, Chuck seem to trail off that road, and get more into his relationship with his new wife, her children, and their new born twins. Although that was interesting, I think he left many details of his life in question. For example, his relationship with his father ended with...
