JCS: I really like the remote to change the colors from flashing and wild colors to one single color if you are not in the mood for bright flashing lights. It works well as we used it for a few nights after Christmas. The white star is okay looking if you turn off the lights, but you can't see the star once the lights are on. It is a fun addition to Christmas and fun attraction for guests of all ages.

P.C.S.: As i said above, the light itself is nice but it won't stay on the tree. It's very hard to put it on to begin with but even if you do it slowly falls down. It's not heavy per se but it is top heavy and not very stable so it leans more and more until it topples over. I finally gave up and mounted it outside for inclusion in the houselights and there it works great. Very bright.
