Morgan Sundance: I use this a few times a week because it makes dinner so easy. Spray a few leftover vegetables with olive oil, sprinkle on seasonings, then roast together with a piece of meat or fish, also sprayed with olive oil. Fish should generally be rolled in seasoned breadcrumbs then sprayed, chicken with or without coating. I use lots of salt, pepper and some garlic powder. For vegetables other than potatoes I also use balsamic vinegar.
This device more oven roasts than fries food, and is great for a heavy vegetable eater. Mushrooms, eggplant and asparagus are my favorites. For protein, kidney lamb chops, beef tenderloin, chicken tenderloins and Mahi Mahi fish do extremely well. If meat alone you can do at 400, but done together with veggies I use the 375 setting.
Since standard cooking sprays have other things in them, they are best avoided. Evo makes rather pricey oil spray bottles that work extremely well. To avoid a bunch of messy prep dishes, I spray the basket with oil, put in the food, then spray them. I keep one Evo bottle with 50:50 balsamic vinegar and olive oil for the veggies. Typical cook times with serving sized meat pieces are about 7 minutes...

Práctico, rápido, versatil, divertido y conserva muy bien las propiedades de los alimentos. El único detalle es que la canastilla estaba anunciada como copper infused (color cobre) y la que recibí es la versión negro mate.

Maggie Williams Flint: I really like deep fried food but they do NOT like me anymore, they make me physically sick. And to be honest, I was never really into the mess it made to make them, with the grease going everywhere and having to filter and store the oil and in some cases, having to toss it because you could only use it once for the food you had cooked in it. French fries, wings, and my all-time favorite, fried green tomatoes and fried chicken. I have recipes to make them in tbe oven but they just weren't the same. I spent DAYS researching air fryers after one of my students told me that she really missed her grandma's fried chicken and her grandfather bought her one for her birthday so she could make it again. She said her grandma's recipe tasted just like it did when her grandma made it, so I was convinced. All my research and reading reviews led me to buy this one because 1) I have always had faith in the Oster brand name, their products have always given good service and been very dependable and 2) all the other reviews I read complained about the non-stick coating coming off the cooking basket in all the other brands -- and I mean ALL -- and the copper ceramic coating...

HokieBigT: I was skeptical but my mom really wanted this for Christmas. It really does work!!! Very good fries, chicken tenders, onion rings, and...pork chops! They really do taste fried with just a teaspoon to tablespoon of oil. I have had to play with the cook times to master the fryer but once you get it everything comes out awesome!

Tips:
1. Shake/rearrange the items occasionally.
2. The timer on the device is awful. Set it for max time and just use a kitchen timer.
3. Use spray with fries and coat the basket. Works better.
4. Put the oil you want to use in a bowl and spin the uncooked food in the oil beforehand. Distributes oil better.
