Hee: Will keep your big toe straight if fractured. Decent support. Can’t wear shoes with them on so prepare to use sandals or going barefoot.

Fan of Cozy Mysteries: This item is exactly as pictured. It takes a bit of figuring to determine how to put it on, but once you fit to your foot you should be good. I am a woman with large, wide feet (11 WW) and it fits my foot just fine. My only problem is that the part that is supposed to pull your toe over to the bar down the instep is stretchy and doesn't really hold your toe as firmly as I had hoped.

Candy: The Big Toe Splint is stronger than most appliances, but doesn't work as well as the picture shows. After surgery, my big toe overlapped the second toe and it is sometimes uncomfortable and looks terrible! This splint separates the two toes as long as I insert a silicone piece between the two toes. Without the silicone piece, which I got with another item I tried, the splint isn't strong enough to maintain separation. I am wearing the splint whenever I am home and all night in bed, however, I doubt this will be a permanent fix as the big toe snaps right back into overlap position when I remove the splint. The splint is too bulky to wear with closed shoes, but I can wear it with adjustable slippers.

Susie QSusie Q: Just received today and I'm very impressed. Took a few minutes to figure out how to put it on but now it's very easy. I absolutely love that it has velcro at every point to enable you to customize the fit -- even the big toe holder. This is a big advantage over other bunion correctors I've used, plus the fact it goes around the heel seems to make it work better.

The bunion on my right foot is very advanced so I don't expect this to radically correct it but I hope for some improvement and to stop it from progressing at the very least. I've worn it for several hours while watching television tonight. It does hurt a little after several hours but I would expect that if it is going to make any improvement. I plan to wear it while sleeping tonight and it should stay on much better than others I've used since it wraps around the entire foot and heel. The quality is excellent and I am glad I made this purchase.
EDIT: I've used for several weeks now and do see a little improvement with bringing my big toe back closer to its original alignment. I'VE ADDED TWO MORE PHOTOS SHOWING BEFORE & AFTER.
