Dale.EDale.E: I went with this set as most have 90-degree fittings to the service ports. My van could not fit one of those on the low side, but this kit fit.
The lack of the purge valve on the yellow line is my only beef, made it a bit clumsy to use.
It gets the job done for a good price, I would have paid a bit more for a nice case to store it but like I said, I needed the straight port connectors as the pic shows.

pfc27m: Fittings have to be tightened with plyers or they constantly spin off. I think it's cause of the nylon fitting seals are new and spin easy. But bang for buck is good

jack81: This gauge set has allowed me to repair and recharge both my vehicles ac systems. I did find I ended up using pliers to "snug" up the "hand" tightend hose connectors just a bit tighter than by hand alone as a couple of times one or another fitting would loosen off as i moved hoses around (not an issue) after using plyers to snug them up. Don't make the fittings tight....just a bit more than hand tight is perfect. Gauges are a good quality and easy to read and all components were of good quality for the price. I would recommend for the DIY back yarder.

Cryptobotanist: The adapter that came with the Guage set was defective. I needed to order a replacement to conect to my heat pump. Other than that the gauges worked well for vacuming lines on aheat pump.

Nathan: Good for DIY'ers to get proper high side AC levels and a more accurate refill.

I wish the refill line (yellow) had a purge valve on the manifold end. Either on the line or manifold itself. Every time you swap R134/R12 cans to refill, the yellow line needs to be purged to prevent putting air into the system. The current method of cracking the top hose and re-tightening sucks because the the connections are too close to get a bite by hand. I'm using pliers to get a proper seal, which is wearing off the connection grip. A purge valve would allow the line to remain permanently/tightly fastened to the manifold, and quick easy purging after swapping cans or even venting moisture out of the system.

O-Rings have gone on my connectors too. But it's gotten quite a bit of use. I'm not complaining there. I don't see much point in spending extra for the other gauges Orion offers. A purge valve, and bit better quality on these (some extra o-rings included in the kit) and this is all you need.

pwriepwrie: Due to other negative reviews I thought it prudent to test the three hoses with my air compressor for “air” leaks, and while I was at it to test the gauges for accuracy prior to actually using this manifold on my car, since I might use this manifold diagnostic kit in combination with a vacuum pump.

The following parts extra parts needed to connect the hoses to a quick release hose adapter on my air compressor:

a) Proline Flare FL-732NL ¼ in FIP Both Ends BF-732NL 748371 (bar code) 032888189591

c) Plumber tape (has this part in stock – cost is not included )
