forest: This item was very nice for the price point. It looks very good. One small issue is that it is not as strudy as anticipated. However, if you attach the back board sturdiness/stability improves quite a lot. Good product and easy to assemble.

sacha: Perfect fit for my space. I put it together alone, although I don't recommend that. It took about an hour and a half. The only issue I ran into was two of the KD Cam3000 pieces were bent and wouldn't fit into the predrilled holes. I had to hammer them back into a usable shape. Overall I'm giving it a 5 star review because the finish product is very sturdy and looks great.

GJS: I’m so happy with this bookcase that I can’t even explain it properly. First of all, it’s sturdy! Absolutely doesn’t budge whatsoever. All the panels have a lot of weight to them and can each hold up to 50lbs which is amazing! Secondly, the shelves are wide which allows me to fit entire series of manga that I couldn’t before. I used to use ClosetMaid bookshelves and those are TRASH compared to this. It’s a shame that those are more expensive and I could have been having THESE bookcases all along.

It was also easy to put together and luckily came with all the tools and instructions. I’m 100% ordering 2 more of these in the future. My manga collection looks waaaaay more beautiful now. Can’t wait to order another one.

P.S. this got delivered to me faster than expected. :)

Anders: I needed a black bookcase and didn't want to spend too much. The only negative is the back which is cardboard and looks a bit cheap and is folded in the kit and you can see the folds when you nail it on to the back. The back really bothered me but it does provide rigidity, so I cut it at the height of the fixed shelf so that the bottom has the back and the top is without the back. I think this elevates the look of the bookcase as the back is not as visible on the bottom shelves. I also ordered 2 more shelves for it. It can definitely accommodate 6 shelves.

Diane D.: This is my fifth Bush shelf. It is easy to put together and the shelves are wider now than my first three. Looks and feels sturdy. Gives a great look to the room it is in. It is quiet heavy to handle but it does hold books and tonnes of them with ease. Very happy about this purchase. I hope i can enjoy it like the others for years to come. I will recommend this bookshelf to family and friends.

Cary L. Brown: This review was hard to write... because while the item itself is one of the nicest "faux wood" shelving units I've ever seen, and while it looks really nice... getting one INTACT was a challenge, as the vendor BADLY mispackages it. Ultimately, I chose to base my review on the item itself, not on how it is packaged and delivered, but I'll discuss both here.

For anyone wondering... yes, this is a particle-board-with-cosmetic-covering type item, not "real wood." If you want something like this in real, solid hardwood, you can get that, too, but it will run you many times more ($800-$1500, I'd say).

Solid hardwood is always going to be more robust, and better looking, overall. But if you can't afford that, or don't need that, this is about as good as you're going to do.

This is a VERY SOLID piece of furniture, once (properly) assembled. I've worked with "store brand" shelves before, and this is far superior to those. Most of those are rated at 25 lbs per shelf... some as low as 15 lbs per shelf. This one is rated at 45 lbs per shelf.
