jessieth: The blurb said these would stretch to hold M bobbins. They do, sort of. I have to push quite hard to get them down low enough to get the lid closed and they are similarly not too easy to get out. On a good note, when an open case fell on the floor, only half of them fell out. If they had been a little easier to get all the way in, probably none of them would have come out. I will use them for storage, but probably get an M class Bobbin Saver ring for the ones I use most often.

DarleneDarlene: I especially like the foam as there is no need to secure the end of the thread, bobbins are held by the foam. Bobbins don't move. Each container holds 28 bobbins. Great price for 2 boxes.
I am a bit concerned about the back hinge, at some point it will wear and split open and I will have to tape it. However, I am sure it will last a long time. Too bad the back didn't have 2 smaller hinges like the one on the front. This is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

K9 Tracker: I been sewing off and on for over 30 years and the storage boxes for bobbins are a pain!! You can get them into the storage, but there was no room to grab them or take them out, unless you have tweezers for fingers!

I saw these when I did a search and thought, give it a shot and I am so so glad I did!!

Great storage, easy to get them out and the latch keeps it shut for storing the case!

I TOTALLY recommend these cases for storage, you won't be disappointed.

Judy Acton: These bobbin holders are excellent they hold the bobbin firmly and the thread does not unspool, so it is always neat and tidy. They are also a nice size, not too big and not too small they each hold 28 bobbins. Wish I had found these a long time ago.

M. Johnson: OK, this may sound odd to most of you, but I participate in target shootings sports and, as such, I reload my own cartridges to save money and get better accuracy. In order to reload, one needs to have a collection of "shell holders", which are little round steel pieces that hold the brass case in the reloading press. I have all RCBS shell holders, and the sizes for them are stamped on the side. None of the commercially available shell holder storage boxes I could find allow you to easily see the side of the shell holder to read the numbers. They all seem to store them flat. Frustrated, I started thinking about what else might be re-purposed to provide a better storage solution and came up with the idea of a bobbin storage box.

I tried the fit in my wife's bobbin box and it was very good. Her bobbin box, however, is hard plastic and the shell holders rattle around in it. When I saw these boxes with the foam insert, I thought it would be worth the price to give them a try. They are nearly perfect for my application! The foam distorts ever so slightly around the shell holder and then seems to slowly conform to the shape, holding them perfectly in place. The numbers stay...

These boxes are a Godsend if you have any sort of a bobbin collection, and really, who sews that doesn't. Bobbins are like little chocolate candies – you can never have enough. I use class 15 bobbins in these and the foam cut-outs are quite snug. If you put the bobbin in with the thread end down and in the slot, when you open the case back up the next time, your threads will still be ever so nicely wound on their bobbins! No matter how you shake, rattle and roll these cases, your bobbins are not going to fall out and neither are your threads going to come loose and make a mess, nor are these boxes going to pop open. I even accidentally dropped mine on the carpet and it stayed shut.

Rejoice in the knowledge that you can safely take your bobbin collection along with you to wherever you bring your machine without having to deal with tons of tangled bobbin threads ever again. Your sanity is well worth the price of these cases! At this price, you could even buy several and separate out your types of threads per case (plain, metallic, multicolored, etc).
