Alexandra CAlexandra C: I checked their product images and they did not include the label that said this product is produced in a facility that also processes tree nuts. They need to put this warning in bold letters. We have allergies to other nuts.

Karen Tyrell: We use these in our organic banana bread. It’s terrific that they’re raw and organic. Very nice. It makes our bread extra special. The bag holds a generous amount of these nutritional gems. They’re quite fresh.

We’re looking to put some in our next batch of chocolate cookies. With our broadblade knife on our bamboo cutting board, these chop quite easily. They would also be excellent in our recipe for vegan fudge. Or chopped and added to pancake or waffle batter. Lean protein and they’re quite versatile. They’re good in salads.

Unlisted: This bitter taste comes from amygdalin, a chemical compound within the nut that defends the nut from being eaten in the wild. Amygdalin divides into two parts when exposed to moisture: an intense almond flavor that is actually edible, and hydrocyanic acid that makes the nuts deadly.

JanetinMD: Big, delicious, and I was surprised to read earlier reviews where buyers received unpleasant tasting nuts. There were no duds among them. They are far better than any I can buy in a store.
