C. H. Patterson: I love French roast coffee but drink decaf after about noon. I use K-cups. I've tried Peets, Starbucks and other brands and found them all a bit lacking. I saw good reviews for this San Francisco brand and decided to try it. I noticed the writeup says the pods are compostable, and thought that was a real plus.
The coffee is REAL good. So good I also ordered the regular caffeinated French roast, which also is terrific.
The pods are a bit different. There is a rigid top, like a regular K-cup, but the bottom part is like a coffee filter. I was afraid it might leak in the machine, but it doesn't. There's some small type that says, essentially, "Yes, these pods are technically compostable, but only in a special commercial composting facility -- and there probably isn't one of those anywhere near you." Even if there were, you'd have to keep your used pods separately and somehow get them to the facility. So, so much for that. At least the coffee filter part ought to compost, I guess.
Anyway, it certainly is no WORSE at composting than the regular K-cups, and so far I really like the coffee.

Jessica Goudreau: I have a keurig, like most, and was always looking for a good cup of coffee. I usually drink, on average, 3-5 cups a day. I was introduced to this years ago by my mother in law and I have been hooked since. The price is fantastic for how many cups you get. The flavor is so good - I love dark roast and this is robust, not bitter and is so good for hot or iced coffee. I also like that I can recycle these pods. I look forward to having my first cup every morning and won't drink any other brands. I drink my coffee black and with creamers and either way has a rich, solid cup each time.

DIYdiva: I’ve use these pods before and didn’t have any problems. I thought the flavor was excellent. This time around all I got was a cup of hot water. I went to look at the other reviews, and someone mentioned that their Keurig elite could not puncture the seal on these. it was then I realized I had switched to a different Keurig and that that was the problem. So, I took a toothpick and use that to puncture of a seal. Problem solved however, that is really a pain in the neck to have to do every time. the coffee taste great and I don’t know who deserves the blame for the problem. Could be the company, could be Keurig. I’m just happy that someone was able to figure it out so I can enjoy the coffee.

LetsGo: I was looking for less expensive dark roast and decided to try these.
I was a little leery about them since several reviewers talked about their failure rate.
The box of 80 arrived in individually sealed packs of 8 or so, which was a VERY pleasant surprise. That keeps them fresh.
The smell of the newly opened bag reminded me of freshly ground coffee from when I was a kid. I really like the flavor of them. They are much better than Kirkland, which I think has gone downhill a bit and used to be my "go to" since Starbucks is very expensive.
So long as I don't have a high failure rate I will definitely reorder them.
next time I may try the Fog Chaser, which is a medium dark roast.
(I've a regular, somewhat older Keurig which may make the difference)

Rafael Astorga: To be honest Amazon didn't allow my original review so I'm having to re-issue it. Originally my complain was mostly about the stale flavor of the first pod I used. To be fair, subsequent pods have been much better in flavor, more in line with their pods I had bought form Costco before which is actually mild but good. The main issue now is that my coffee maker, Keurig K supreme, is unable to fully puncture the pod's seal so it makes a big mess and a pretty weak cup of coffee. My solution is to let the machine score the seal then open the pod compartment and without moving the pod I carefully puncture with an icepick the marks scored by the machine, close machine again and brew. Decent cup of coffee but way too many hassles. It seems more of a quality control issue to be honest, since the top seals come off sometimes. Also, some of the pods are packed tight with coffee and some are not full at all. Wondering if the excellent price is because they're factory seconds. I've only used 10 of the 80 pods I bought so maybe the next bag will be perfect but I see other people also complaining about pods coming apart(exploding) in the machine.

buddy: Many questions by guests re brand and type of coffee. A definite favourite. Uses minimal plastic in the K-Cup which is an awesome bonus.
