Maverick: Having previously purchased whole chia seeds and then read that chia seeds need to be consumed milled (ground) so that the
nutrients are released and thus consumed. I have definitely noticed a difference and continue to buy it MILLED.

I personally want something more finer ground from chia, as I tend to use it in flour mixes. Nutiva is a little bit coarser so it works in few more rustic inspired recipes. But it's great for mixing into oatmeal or making a quick chia pudding (a few hours are needed instead a half a day or more).
I tried using it as egg substitute for some vegan recipes and I wasn't that satisfied... it simply lacked enough binding power even when combined with flax.
I liked that the chia flavor was present without being to overpowering. It's doesn't cause that chocking reflex some ground chia seeds get you, but the coarse texture makes this stick between your teeth.
