stephan: This was an excellent biography about Neil Armstrong. My 5 year old granddaughter was totally interested and fascinated with this particular biography. The book is full of interesting and important facts. It’s well written and wonderfully illustrated. Outstanding biography!

Achuthanunni k r: The book was extremely costly and it is not worth for the cost.
Nothing is there for the kids to follow or accept as a role model.

Djilly L.Djilly L.: I find these fairly thin and short booklet expensive but the quality makes up for it.
This book is very attractively illustrated and contains a well-told storyline that children can relate to and that grown up will enjoy.
The colourful hard covered booklet is simply presented in an excellent manner. .
Our daughter is a little older than the target audience I guess, and at 9 years of age already into more serious literature. Nevertheless she adores this books that we gave her as a birthday present. She has also been reading it to her younger brother - who has been similarly fascinated.
She has some affinity with the topic of the Apollo moon missions as the learned about the first moonlanding at school.
Moreover we recently watched Apollo 13, in which Neil makes an appearance! - a movie that got her on the edge of her seat.
I’m quite intrigued by the range of topics in this series, and so our children will be treated on more of these books.
The only thing is that the amount of books in the series is not that extensive yet.

Alisha Todd: I just received this yesterday and read it to my 6 yr old son. My son is obsessed with space, had a rocket scientist as a grandpa and already wants to be an engineer. I not only love the illustrations in this book, but it is so well written. I actually thought it would be a much simpler book because of the cover, but it had a lot of information about Neil Armstrong and was so very inspirational! I darn nearly cried at the end! No joke!!! Love this and will probably have to order the other biography books by this author!

Debbie F.: After receiving this book yesterday, I was anxious to begin reading it to my grandson's. It was much longer than I expected, so they could only sit through about half of it. Their daddy will finish reading it tonight. I was disappointed to find that it quoted John F Kennedy, Jr. as President of then United States. He was born in 1960, and hardly old enough to run the country. Of course they meant his father, John F Kennedy, but I did stutter a bit reading it. Hopefully the next batch will be better edited.

Brenda Marshall: I bought these to use in a den meeting to help my cub scouts pass off a requirement in which they needed to learn about 2 famous Americans. After reading 2 of the books, all of the boys asked if they could take them home because they didn't get to finish them and they wanted to borrow the others as well. They are written and illustrated in such an engaging way! Love them! My daughter who teaches 6th grade math was impressed and commented how great she thought they were.

Karen Lau: We have a collection of these OPCTW books and this one has definitely been long awaited for. It really gets to the roots of what engineering is, and how Neil Armstrong dealt with every life-threatening situation with calm, cool and collected grace. A really well painted portrait of the inner strength of Neil. Also chock full of information on the vehicles, and the international space programs at the time. My 4 and 6 year olds are enraptured by the book. Also the foldout spread of the Earthrise shot is a great touch to really hit home—that was the first moment in human history that a human had seen the Earth from afar. Brilliant little book about a big human.
