SMartinez: Here's the package we bought below. We wanted to get lightweight, compressible gear (for backpacking in mountains for days), that's easy to set up, comfortable, and warm. Ever since we first tried this package out together, we were sold on it, and have used it ever since (January, February, March '21 backpackers this year). And I anticipate using it for a very long time going forward. We used this package on the Appalachian Trail and Rocky Mountains backpacking in single degree weather, and we were as warm being in our own house. No joke. We could not believe how warm and comfortable we were. It would even get hot at times (we had thermal top and bottoms on only) so we had to peek our head out a little to get some cool air. And comfort? So comfortable. We (my 15, 16, 19 yr old boys and I) are never going back to tent camping ever. This is too good. So easy too. No worries about wetness on the ground, rain hitting the tent, packing up a wet tent, sleeping on the hard ground (we even had super killer self-inflating camping pads are that are awesome, but it's still a degree of hardness because you're on DIRT!), mildew worries from tent moisture, etc. etc. The time it takes to set up...

Nick Bennett: Underquilt is awesome. Fits a double hammock with ease and is mighty warm. Only sad thing is the straps on the stuffsack are already starting to shred after a couple uses.

William R. Santos: This is the item I was missing from my setup for my hammock hangs all year around.

It replaces my bed role, which was basically a pile of 4 wool blankets that I would lay on top of my ground mat in the hammock. (As you probably know, having a cold back in a hammock makes you need to get up in the middle of the night to find the latrine ...)

The underquilt performs well, and fits snugly right under your hammock with adjustable, bungee lines so your tarp tent still keeps you covered and you back stays warm! My new base set-up for upstate NY where we get snow from October - May is as follows (and then adjust per temps and wind):
1. Winter: 0-degree bag on top of ground mat with hammock and winter underquilt.
2. Fall-Spring: 40-degree bag on top of ground mat with hammock and winter underquilt.
3. Summer in mountains: Top blanket with ground mat and winter underquilt (adjusted lower for a little more airflow). On warmer nights, I loosen it up totally and slide it out of the way.

nathan: I've waited to write a review until I could give a legit field test on this one, and I'll try to give as much pertinent info as I can. This is for the Winter version, not the 3 season. This past weekend I took it to Siler Bald in NC, and I was skeptical it would perform well in sub 30F weather as it's much cheaper in price than anything else at this temp range, and it seems thinner than it should be. Friends, I was happily proven wrong. My temp reading was 25F at 6am, there were periods of wind gusts throughout, and I was quite comfortable the entire night. I use a Bear Butt Double hammock, and it conformed perfectly and never slipped around. When moving around, I would occasionally have brief cold spots by my legs that went away very quickly, but nothing that gave me chills or shivers. For reference, I was wearing a heavyweight polypro, cheap fleece pajama pants, a thin polyester long sleeve, and thin polyester pants (maybe you could wear just one layer, but can def say I was comfortable wearing what I did), and had an old Intermediate Cold Weather bag I used as an OQ. I felt none of the wind through the UQ, and I had no tarp or rainfly set up - it's legit 20D and essentially...
