Oneisall Professional Cat Grooming Clippers for Matted and Long Hair

Amazon Customer: I bought this for my grandpa's dog. My grandpa is disabled, so he does not have the ability to get the dog groomed regularly. Unfortunately, the dog was pretty matted by the time I was able to come over and take a look. I tried the "regular" Wahl trimmers that I have used on myself, but they did nothing. THESE clippers however! They made light work of the dog's hair! Honestly, the way my grandpa's dog's hair grows makes me think he's a mix between a terrier and a poodle. It grows fast, curly, and thick! Now, he is a very good and patient boy, so he is okay with getting a haircut, but even so, it only took about 40 minutes to get him trimmed! Matts and all! And some matts were skin close, and some were so close together that it came off almost like sheep's wool! Now, I am aware of watching for “sensitive” areas, but these trimmers were able to work around the ears, eyes, and privates of the dog without issue! Of course, I have SOME experience with trimming my own small dog, but not much. With all that in mind, I would recommend these trimmers to ANY person looking to begin trimming their pet’s hair, especially if they are starting with matted hair.

Greyowl 13: I have only experienced short haired cats and adopted a senior long haired cat who doesn’t like to be brushed and developed thick mats. Our vet took care of most of them but left a couple for me to clip. I was searching for a good clipper and saw a review stating that this one went through mats “like butter.” When it arrived, I showed it to my cat and he “kissed” it like it was familiar to him and stayed still while I removed the mat. The clipper is quiet, lightweight and moves smoothly through matted hair. Both cat and I are very pleased with this product.

No name: Have a grumpy 15yr old rescue cat that has been attacking me any time I went near her. Hair was matted. I mean so much so when it came off, it was a wad. Couldn't get her to a vet, as she would attack. Got tablets that were supposed to partially sedate her to bring her. Still no joy. Crush cage etc no joy. Vet doing a call out, also no joy. Brushing her was an absolute nightmare. By the time she adopted me, she had some extremely bad mats. Have tried everything, 15 different type of brushes, different clippers etc. Brushes where ok, but once you met the mat she would bolt. It was so matted touching it must have caused pain. Clippers (I have bought several) she would also bolt at the sound of all of them. These however, she did not.

Word of advice. Start it on the slow speed out of the room and bring it in. With the back of the device facing the cat. Let them smell it. Then use the back of the clippers to gently massage them. You can then tackle the mats. Only increase the speed when at the mat. The small increase in noise then, they will not notice as the vibration against them distracts. Do not pull away and increase, they will bolt as the noise increases.

HVA: I'm revising my previous review.(Okay, this is my second revision... I received the shaver on 10/04, today is 10/10 and I removed the last section of matted hair. My cat will only sit still for about three to four minutes, then I have to chase her, so it took days. Now that the mats are gone I'll shave her once a week so that I can keep them under control.)
Still disappointed in the things I mentioned, but as I said I would keep trying to remove the matted hair, and it is working, but it's a very slow process. REVISED (I was a little disappointed that it didn't come with an adapter, so I used one from my Kindle. The reason I made this purchase was because my long haired cat is so matted. (Its not great with matted hair.) However I was able to shave the rest of her fairly well. I'm hoping if I keep at it I'll be able to work the mats out.)

Markus B.: Ich hatte so meine Bedenken, ob der Rasierer tatsächlich hält was er verspricht, denn unsere Katzen waren bislang selbst aufs Bürsten nicht gut zu sprechen, begannen zu fauchen, Knurren und sorgten für so manch blutige Kratzer. Und nun noch ein brummendes Gerät?

Alle Bedenken, die ich zunächst hatte, wurden im Keim erstickt, denn alle 3 Katzen haben weder durch das leise Brummen, noch durch das Scheren selbst die Flucht ergriffen. Ich musste sie nicht einmal festhalten. Ja ich hatte fast den Eindruck als hätten sie die ganze Zeit darauf gewartet.

Zum Gerät selbst:

Der Akku war zu ca. 80% aufgeladen, als ich das Gerät nach dem auspacken direkt in Betrieb nahm. Und nach dem scheren meiner 3 Katzen zeigte die Anzeige noch über 50% an.

Lautlos ist der Rasierer zwar nicht. Doch weitaus leiser als mein Rasierer. Und da auch unsere Katzen es nicht als störend empfanden gehen auch hier beide Daumen nach oben.

Das Scheren verlief sehr gut. Zwar musste man immer wieder die Haare aus dem Aufsatz entfernen, aber das ist ja normal. Möchte man beim rasieren der Katze maximale Wirkung erzielen, muss man gegen die Haarwuchsrichtung rasieren, bzw an...

Nick H: I was ready to leave a lukewarm three-star review for these clippers a week or two after receiving them. So many of the reviews I read before buying claimed that the clippers would "cut through mats like butter." That was never my experience, but our cat's mats were very large and very dense. I actually didn't realize how big they were until I had trimmed the fur around the mats with these clippers for the first time. And that was the issue: the clippers would cut the healthy fur fine but would sort of choke when they came up against matted areas.

After several YouTube tutorials and one failed attempt to bring our cat in for a professional grooming, I decided to give these clippers another shot. This time, I would approach each mat by first finding the point where it meets the skin. After finding the base of the mat, I would target a point on the mat just above our cat's skin then gently "chip away" at that point a couple of times with the clippers. I would repeat this process multiple times when working on her larger mats, chipping away with the clippers then looking and feeling for the base of the section of the mat that was just exposed.
