まさ: 簡易体温計もいいが実測用も欲しくなり購入。ただ時間がかかる。

carlycarly: 4年以上前に購入した物ですが、同じオムロンの30秒計測より体温が低く出ます。
一般的に長時間かかる実測の体温計の方が正確と言われてますが、さてどちらが正しいのか…？
どちらを選ぶかはあなた次第。

どちらも体温計としてはシッカリした物で、電池も入っているので届いてすぐに使えます。
さすがオムロン。

Pingo3000: This works well, but it takes quite some time before it gives you the temperature result. Perhaps they are more accurate than the quicker ones.

I.T. Guy: Outstanding! Just works! Shows an ACCURATE temperature, far far different from what you'll see if you trust the cheap Chinese thermometer you got from a local pharmacy.
I have other thermometers, more expensive, so that I am able to verify the accuracy, but for those who don't here is the shortcut - just buy this Omron MC-170. Thank you, JAPAN!

There is no English manual, just Japanese, which I find strangely satisfying, because I know that this means the manufacturer hasn't yet cheapen this product with inferior parts to satisfy the floor cheap markets.

I used an English manual for a very similar MC-340 (I think), to get an idea, bu it turned out simple there is really no need for a manual.

The thermometer first tries to immediately guess the temperature (this is for the stupid, you know they need it now, however inaccurate),but you will just wait a little. It will then proceed to take the actual measurements, and will notify you in about a minute with few soft beeps that it is done measuring.
Reads in Celsius no problem. (I am sorry I haven't try setting it up in Fahrenheit, so I don't know if it can show in F).

This temperature will be accurate...
