Just Some Woman: I have silicone mats in various places around the house. One on my sewing table to stop the sewing machine moving, and one under to stop the foot control sliding about, one under the parrot's perch for obvious reasons, and some for the cat's dishes dotted around the house. This one is particularly nice because of the colour. I bought it for the cat's dish in the kitchen, and it is exactly the same colour as the cupboards (Farrow and Ball Oval Room Blue) So I am very pleased with it.

I haven't needed to wash it yet but it's just silicone so pretty easy to wipe or run under water. You can't tell in the photo but the cat shape is so cute. This mat is perfect, I would double check the measurements if you're putting their bowls on top to make sure it fits.

My cat is a messy eater and drinker. I finally decided after getting sick of cleaning up spills, and crumbs that she finally needed a mat so that it would be less of a pain than cleaning up wood floors.
This mat is definitely what I needed! Its so cute, and the raised edges keep even large spills from getting in the floor. Its easy to wipe down, and vaccume. Plus it's so stinkin cute! It rolled out nicely, and was ready to use right away, no inconvenience folds that wouldn't uncrease even after weeks.
It came with a bit of a smell, but that's to be expected from any plasticy silicon like material really.
Overall highly recommend for messy little brat cats!
