Matthew: Probably the best boots I’ve owned, only complaint is that they aren’t super heavy duty. If you’re looking for a heavy duty and comfortable boot I’d go for the Garmonts, or I believe theres a heavier version of the Oakleys. But I love them for Garrison use.

Amazon Customer: I bought these boots for AIT I will be attending to after basic coming up. Boots are an exact fit to food size and coming from someone with slim feet they keep my foot nice and sturdy. I would also say the toe box is also wide enough if you have wider feet, it will also be comfortable. Breaking in boots were a breeze took them out first day with a 12 mile ruck straight out of the box and let me just say the comfort was there immediately. Walking in the street up hills uneven terrain and my feet were feeling good the whole walk. No rubbing pain or blisters and now that I’ve ruck an additional few more time the boots are nice and well broken in. Would definitely recommend.

Elisabeth: These boots were awesome! I am a woman who is about a size 8 shoe and I got the men's size 6, they fit absolutely perfectly. They were lightweight and support my flat foot. The bottoms are a little thin, so when going over rugged terrain you will feel it a bit. I would say these are nice early fall, spring, and summer uniform boots, but in the winter you should get a thicker more winterized pair. I passed them on to my Team Leader who is the same size as me and a year later they are still holding up great for her!

Amazon Customer: About to buy my third pair of these. They are by far the best *lightweight* boots I have found in 13 years of wearing different boots for the Army, and I definitely think they are better than any heavyweight boot I've owned, though that is personal preference. If you prefer lightweight boots, look no further.

The outsoles provide some moderate flex (like a running shoe) which makes them very comfortable to run and move quickly in. This does make the outsoles a bit soft (which causes them to be less durable) but the upper construction is second to none. My approximately 4 year old pair which has seen heavy field use still has no frayed or broken stitching or worn leather. The boots themselves still look fine, though the outsole eventually wore through, making them unserviceable, which is why I'm replacing them. They are breathable and and dry quickly. I can't speak to their performance in cold temps however - they might be a bit cold for winter field use in cold regions.

Other small problems: I recommend replacing the insoles, which are probably the weakest feature of the boot, but it's generally a good idea to chuck the insoles that come with boots...
