troddy: Have bought these Timberland boots for quite a few years (probably my 6th pair) and always soft light and comfortable, my only concern is they are not the most waterproof and past experience with these is that the toe rubber in the front of the boots starts to detach after about 2-3 months of use then they can start to leak so not the best in that respect. But comfort and lightness is great and i usually get about 6 months use from these walking daily with dogs in New Forest. Quite often put the older pair away form May- September then use a newer pair for the Winter.

Maddler: Been buying these since a few years as I needed something comfortable and waterproof to walk my dog but also good for normal use. Never had an issue, I just use some grease to ensure waterproofing over time and increase leather life. Despite me not being exactly a lightweight they're a joy to walk in.
Always buy these during Prime/Black Friday sales so the price is absolutely a steal!
Did and will definitely buy them again.

JT: Been looking for a pair of boots I can wear everyday on any weather for the rest of my life. This model is the most water proof boots I’ve ever owned. The boots are comfortable. Once the leather breaks in nothing comes close to the comfort leather provides. They come in all black. Which is surprisingly hard to find. Most other brands offer all black leather uppers and then a different color sole. I’ll be buying these again once the soles wear out. I’ve been wearing them everyday all day for 8 months now and no other boot has lasted this long. Well done. Strongly recommend.

Shayli Kilmer: These boots are good quality and a good price point. This is the second pair I have bought for my husband in construction. He does wear through them fast though so if your buying them for everyday hard use I wouldn’t expect them to last over a year. But they are cheaper than other work boots so you can decide if it’s worth spending less to buy them more often. He does find they are stiff at the beginning like any boot but once they are worn in they are comfortable to work in all day.

I walked 40 km on the beach with a 20 kg back pack .
I got two blisters at the back of my feet from that which is not suprising considering distance and that the shoes werent broken in .
I climbed a very small moutain in Albania 3 hrs round trip but the floor was pretty rough with loose stone and sharp stone .
I visited a castel and walked on smooth polished stone floor where other people were nearly falling and walking slowly and akwardly but i had no issues whatoever.
I trecked in Corsica again with no issues
I then went for a 5 km run with them under heavy rain . And whilst they arent very heavy the sole inst really meant for running . I got blisters from that too ( fair enough ) my friend feet were wet with normal trainers and mine were dry .
I then used them to take a shed down with sledge hammer . Both my friend walked on nail and nearly impaled their feet . I definetly felt safer wearing that .
I travel through europe for a month with them during summer . They are warm but it is doable.

Only down side for me is to have to re-do the laces everytime , a zip would have been nice .

Vanns40: I needed a pair of hiking boots to replace the Keene boots that were only 1 1/2 yrs old but not only lost their waterproofing in the first six months but had a weed stalk in the field go right through the side and almost break my skin. This was the second pair of Keene’s that had gone bad in just over a year and, at $130 I was getting tired of replacing them.

Started looking at reviews and found these. They have a large toe box with plenty of room. Before I took them out I took another reviewers advice and put a coating of Mink Oil on them. They were comfortable but I knew they’d take a little break in. I now have about three or four miles of walking through the fields and surprisingly they seem to be breaking in rather quickly. I usually put on about 500-700 miles a year.

One note, if you’re looking for hiking boots that will give you really good ankle support these ARE NOT for you, look elsewhere. These are for easy hiking, fields and roadway. When I got them I first put in a pair of Dr. Scholls and that went a long way toward making them immediately comfortable.

If I remember I’ll give an update in three or four months.
