H: We adopted our dog (a chiweenie) almost a year and a half ago and immediately noticed she loves to chew since she was doing a number on wood furniture and just about anything she could get her mouth around. We bought some of these bones to see if we could get her to focus her chewing and sure enough she loves them. Anytime she’s bored or sitting with us on the couch she will go and bring a bone from her toy bin to chew. She especially seems to like the blue ones with ridges but is an equal opportunist. They seem to last a decent a week or two each until she has gnawed them down to little shanks at which point we swap them out. She’s a pretty small dog and has no issue holding them in place between her paws. We call it her “going to work”

Michaela: We regularly purchase these for our two dogs as they last a long time and our dogs love them. The only con is that if you have a fluffier rug, plastic bits can break off and get stuck in a rug or carpet. Otherwise we let our dogs chew on these regularly as they cannot break off big chunks and ingest them.

Alice Long: We have a medium-sized dog. Though this particular NylaBone is on the smallish side, it’s perfect for him. Mind you, he’s got some pitbull in him, so he’s got a pretty wide smile. Still, this is just the right size. We sit in the backyard; he holds this thing between his paws, & chews happily for an hour at a time. It shows wear, but it hasn’t broken, so I consider it very safe, or I wouldn’t give it to him. This is the second one of these we’ve gotten. He lost the first one.

AStanAStan: Our breed standard Staffy has fairly easily put loads of dents in this. Seems to be a little softer than the other nylabone he had. Redeeming features is that he loves it so much and it's easy for him to hold, plus it wasn't that expensive either. Would be really great for a dog that isn't as an aggressive chewer as a Staffy. NOT recommended for teething puppies of any breed as it is definitely too hard for puppy teeth.

The other Nylabone he had was white and looked like a real bone, that has lasted absolute ages so I will be trying to find that same type again.

swo: We have a little Shih Tzu who is a very aggressive chewer, and she can annihilate a rope toy in minutes!

We got her the Nylabone Power Chew Flavored Durable Chew Toy for Dogs Bacon Medium/Wolf.

I would prefer giving her a natural product, like pizzle/bully sticks, but am fearful of the choking danger if she tries to swallow a larger piece she managed to separate from the rest of the bully stick.

We gave her the first of these Nylabones a couple of weeks ago, and she carries it around the house with her, and chews on it constantly...instead of chewing on things she shouldn't be chewing on. We can see lots of teeth marks on it, but she hasn't chewed any sections off.

I don't know if a larger aggressive chewing dog would have the same good results, but for a Shih Tzu aggressive chewer, this has been a godsend!
