Heath Ford: I consider this product essential for long term food storage. Obviously, you're going to need a vacuum sealer. I assume you already do or you wouldn't be looking at this product. Here is a little tip from the older generation. Buy food when it is on sale, even if you don't need it, even if you already have twelve. If you have an effective way to store and keep food, you will never have to worry about temporary food shortages or a bad economy, or inflation or lack of employment. This will help give you that piece of mind and save you money. Maybe you just don't want to cook all the time but you can't afford to eat out either. I've stored cooked food for months in these bags and when I was craving that particular meal, I just heated it up and it was as fresh as if it had just been cooked. Take advantage of sales, especially on meat. Buy in bulk. Separate into smaller portions, vac-seal and store.

There are already a zillion reviews on these bags so I will not get deep into the quality. The bottom line is they work for me at a price less than the sealer manufacture brand. I have a Food Saver FM2000 which is one of their basic models with no bells and whistles.

***** Sealing Tip

First make sure the sealer area surface is clean. As pointed out by another reviewer make sure the smooth side is face down, the rough side face up. I had to do this in the past with another third party brand.

***** Cutting tip

If you have a basic sealer like mine that has no bag cutting feature invest in an inexpensive paper cutter where you will get perfect 90 degree cuts versus eyeballing it with scissors. There are lots of these paper cutters available on Amazon. See Attached photos.

***** Other Uses

I have no issues sealing food for the freezer or Cabinet storage. I have a DYI project on hold. I opened a container of drywall compound. Once opened the shelf life is short. I sealed the container and now the shelf life is indefinite. The drywall compound would have cost about $11.00 to replace. See attached photo.

Phil F: Bags are sufficient thickly. The issue I had with them is that the ends seem to curl up a bit after they are cut to size. This makes it more difficult to do the vacuum seal.

nahomi: the quantity is just great, the thickness brilliant, but i don't know why after a while, the air gets in and all the work done goes to the bin, i wasted a lot because i have to pack my things again and again :( some of the bags i made are still ok, but the ideal would be that once the work is done, it stays that way, but no :(

H. Tollyfield: I bought these rolls of vacuum sealer bags because they represented much better value for money than the smaller rolls I had previously purchased. I realised I was going to get around 50% more product without having to pay any more. The bonus is the quality of the product - the quality of the material is much higher than the brand I was using before. It works really well with my Homecube vacuum sealer. Very pleased.

algiebugs: WOW, I could not believe that I got these bags rolls at this price ( having said that, I hope they don't go up in price ). They are strong well made bags 2 X different sizes, but handy sizes. Speedy delivery, good product, nice price. What more can you ask for ?
