Nutramax Welactin Omega-3 Fish Oil Supplement for Dogs: Promote Healthy Skin and Coat

Evo: I was recommended to give this supplement a try for my 16 yo min pin's eye health. Soo far soo good as he seems to like it and it hasn't upset his tummy. However, when giving it to my senior pibble, her stomach didn't like it very much and caused her to vomit. It was the only change to her routine. I hadn't tried again but this time I'll give her only 1 cap full instead of the full 2. I gave my min pin 1 dose every other day for a week to see how he'd handle it before giving the recommend doses. My bottle didn't come leaking or broken. Great amount of product. Can't say I see a difference in his eyes or coating but I assume it helps; who can really tell with supplements anyhow?

Amazon Customer: My chihuahuas really love this welactin. The vet recommended some extra omegas to help joints (and I read how many other benefits omegas have, so why not?). And wow! They both love it. They are so small that I don't need the measuring scoop, I just turn the bottle upside down and squirt a little over their food, and the bottle design is awesome and allows for this easily without spilling everywhere - I am super happy with the bottle design for functionality, and my chihuahuas are super happy with the flavor of this product! They eat up all their meal right away, rather than leaving it to sit for a while like they used to. I can tell they love it, and so far, I am satisfied too.

DK Whorley: My 75 lb GSD has very itchy skin and had been on monthly injections for years. Because of her size, the cost became prohibitive. After trying many combinations of products, I finally switched her over to oral anti-histamine, Zesty Paws Allergy Relief supplement, and Nutramax Welactin Omega-3 Fish Oil Skin and Coat Health Supplement Liquid for Dogs. She likes the taste and eats it on her dry food once per day. She scratches infrequently now and I believe the Nutramax has contributed to her comfort. Not sure why the company thought providing a scoop to dispense a liquid was a good idea. The scoop is 6 mL and she gets 12 mL/day, so I just purchased some disposable 20 mL oral syringes to pull from the bottle and squirt on her food. I can use 1 syringe/bottle before throwing it away and it's so much easier and far less messy than the scoop. HINT - if you decide to try this, be sure to inject the same approximate volume of air into the bottle first and the liquid will fill the syringe with no leaking.
