Very soft for baby but sturdy for mom to work with! Fits comfortably around mom's waist and still accommodates the baby. You can then transition the nursing pillow to use for tummy time or for baby to sit up against. There's a zipper to the back which gives you access to the stuffing (don't open unless you have to).

I bought this a few days after my daughter was born and I do not regret it at all! I wrap it around myself when I'm feeding her or when we do some tummy time. I put it in the washer and dryer with the rest of her things and it comes out looking brand new. We'll worth every penny, I would definitely recommend.
