eshields: We have had to use nipple guards since birth and my baby will fall asleep at the breast, not because they are always hungry, but for comfort too like a pacifier, which is fine, but can't be forever. I tried two other types of pacifiers that they just never took to and would always reject so I felt stuck...they just turned 3 months old and I decided to try these Nuk brand ones and BAM, they took to it right away! Which is great news for my poor breasts.
So far they have been a success and I like that they are designed by orthodontists and dentists as I know pacied aren't always good for teeth.
Would recommend.

Rebecca L.: I was hesitant when I bought these because my oldest son didn’t like them. My youngest is almost 2 months old and is more of a pacifier baby. He is both breast and bottle fed. He began rejecting his soothie and spitting it out. I decided to try a different type of pacifier because he would suck his hands and root for something. When I offered the Nuk pacifier to him, it took a few tries to latch but once he did he held on to it. He did not spit this one out like he did his soothie and he sleeps longer with the Nuk. My only complaint would be that a little moisture gets inside the nipple when washed but I’m overall satisfied with this product.
