I had to find a replacement for nutri-vet. They changed the formula and my cat would not eat it anymore. This is a great replacement if your cat was used to nutri-vet. The consistency is very similar and my cat loves the taste.

She loves the taste of it, and by the aroma I think it was made in a restaurant by a Kitty Cat Chef. I haven't stepped in anything lately that's mushy. Now she coughs and burps and rolls her eyes just to get immediately two fingers worth of the creamy, delicious sauce. She says It works, she eats it, & it cleans my fingernails. Good Stuff.

Nutri-Vet Hairball treatment recently changed their formula. It was the only hairball treatment our 2 babies would eat. The new formula is horrible, so I've been looking for a replacement. This is the only one I've found that my cats will eat. And the product itself looks just like the old Nutri-Vet formula. I don't know if it works as well since we've only been using it a week now, but it seems just as good as the Nutri-Vet. It's a little more expensive since you need to use more, but you get much more product in the tube. My only complaint is that you can't get it on Subscribe and Save (yet) like you could the Nutri-Vet.
If you're looking for a true "gel", this is not a gel. It's a whipped peanut butter consistency and appearance.
