Amazon Customer: Bought this to use with kinetic sand. The lip around the edge helps keep the sand on the mat. Its flimsy enough to fold and pour the sand back in containor. Easy to clean. It is a rubber like material, so the sand does kind of stick. But works how i hoped and prevents sand kn the table and floor.

Amazon Kunde: Wollte eine unauffällige Unterlage für die Hundenäpfe. Die Farbe ist super und passt gut zu unserem Boden! Fällt kaum auf! Ein Punkt Abzug, weil die Unterlage etwas verbogen ist und sich leider auch nach zwei Wochen nicht zurück gebogen hat.

C. Henderson: I was a little worried because cats don’t like anything new in general. These mats are perfect, waterproof, contain food, and the cats will step on them as needed. No more sticky food bits on cloth mats, no more wet spots under the water bowl. Also, since a quick wipe with a cloth cleans thoroughly, I just lift each bowl and swipe. I was a little concerned at the price, certainly more than a cheap cloth mat, but looking these over I think they’ll last for years. I bought a larger one for the automatic feeder and morning canned food bowls and a smaller one for the water bowl; I recommend measuring how much space you need carefully and if in doubt get the larger one.

Citolita: Pros: super easy to clean, nice size
Cons: very flimsy when trying to pick it up and dump out any loose food or water. The edges are not rigid enough to keep their form. Instead of maintaining the squared off shape, they bend open a bit.
Overall, it does the job but next time I’d look for a thicker version
