Ninja Foodi Smart XL 8 Qt. Pressure Cooker & Air Fryer Combo

Renee Aubuchon: I did the dumb thing and bought three progressively more powerful extension cords, thinking that I would finally find the right extension cord to use with this cooker. The instructions, had I read them, very clearly say not to use an extension cord. Once I worked through that piece of stupidity on my part and found a way to fit it on my counter so it could plug into the wall directly, everything was good.

I have made a number of things with the cooker now, and they have all turned out well. I love risotto, and the supplied recipe for mushroom risotto turned out great. I made some focaccia using store bought pizza dough and it was.... well, just wonderful!

The unit is big and heavy. Once you find a place to park it I doubt you are going to want to move it again.

Josh: This thing is big and heavy. I have accepted that it will stay on my kitchen counter - like a microwave. I am not complaining as I use this every day. Love it. I thought steam crisp was a gimmick until I tried it. I use this more than my microwave. Just when you think things can’t be improved Ninja came out with a 3-in-1. At this point can only make it lighter as I cannot fathom a further function on amazing machine.

Tom Lisha Watling: This machine will replace our oven. We had a larger toaster own first and loved not having to head up the range for toast, hot pockets, cookies etc. it in fact works was faster and we have to watch it more closely.

Then we bought this beast. And it is heavy and bigger than it looks in the photos. It’s easy enough to move should to desire to put it away, but once you start using this thing it will replace the way you use your cooking devices.

We bought two more after this one and we make full meals in an instant for up to 20 people for events.

Nachos! You will never go back to a standard oven after having stacked nachos in this!

I agreed to getting this because I wanted. Pressure cooker, but it does that and so much more! Easy digital function button with pre-sets. But then. Knob for if you want to set it specifically to a different temperature than what is recommended for that setting.

It has warning to shake the food if it gets to a certain temperature or starts to burn.

Guadalupe Rosales: Es el mejor robot que he tenido. Ninja nunca me falla. Soy fan de sus productos y la verdad es que la función de olla express me ha facilitado la vida para el tema de pollo, frijoles, caldos y demás. Las cosas se hacen demasido rápido y super fácil. Recomiendo está versión por el simple hecho que la presión es automática es decir, no tienes que hacer nada tu, la maquina hace todo por ti y creo que si eres miedosa, la expulsión se hace super fácil.

gregjgregj: My wife and I really just needed a pressure cooker to do our vegetables and have never had an air fryer. The controls for the pressure cooking are so much easier than any of the other brands on the market so we bought it and I thought maybe well use the air fryer someday. First use and my wife loves the pressure cooker how easy it is to use and the auto quick release. We got into reading the great cook/instruction book that comes with it and then some videos and my first time desire to cook has kicked in. I like to follow video instruction and now I cooking meals she loves.
I picked up a counter slider and ninja accessory pack with pizza, loaf pan and cake pan. I also got a silicone sling. I made Ross Ishima's (no affiliation) YouTube video and I made the best pressure/air fried meatloaf ever. The Steam/Crisp is something I've never seen before and made the juiciest whole chicken without being tied up and put on a rotisserie. The in the pot thermometer is a game changer with temperature being displayed on Smart front panel of the food inside. I still check temps with my own thermometer and find myself needing to use the manual temp set at a slightly lower setting. I'm looking...

Amazon Customer: This is my second ninja Foodi. My first has done excellent for several years, but I decided to buy this one for size (8qt vs my old 6qt). I LOVE the updated lid, instead of having a separate pressure lid. Super easy to use, and even easier to clean in the updated lid without having the grate over the heating element in the lid. I still use my old Foodi when I cook for crowds, and I can air fry in one, and pressure cook some rice in the other. I want to stress that I didn’t buy a new one because the old didn’t work, I just needed something bigger for my family. I cook EVERYTHING in this. It’s great for the summer so I don’t have to turn my oven on and heat up the whole house. I use it in the winter and fall for comfort foods like roasts and soups that usually take all day in a crock pot. It makes the best rice, chicken wings, homemade chicken stock, you name it, it can do it.

My setbacks:
I’ve noticed that it takes longer to build up pressure, which I think is because its larger than my old one. Also, when cooking rice, the bottom is a little brown (not burnt, just a little golden). I feel like this is because it takes longer to build up pressure. I’ve started...

DANIEL: Me encanto esta olla, la uso para todo, como Freidora normal, como freidora con Aire, como Olla de Presion(caldos, Frijoles, Arroz), como Freidora con Aire(Rostiza Carne, Pollo, Pescado Zarandeado), hornea Pan, hice papas al horno, papas en Gajo fritas con Aire, Papas a la francesa freidas en aceite, Verduras al Vapor, Flan, no he echo yougurt ni secado frutas. pero literal sirve para todo, es facil de usar de limpiar.

El consumo de electricidad, es mucho menor que pagar Gas, porque la olla es muy rapida. y calienta todo el alimento.

Es muy pesada para guardarla, pero ya tiene su lugar fijo en mi cocina, como les cuento la uso diario.

José Dorantes: Es mi primera olla a presión y mi segunda air fryer. No tenía ningún tipo de olla a presión y solo quería hacer frijoles. Estoy impresionada de lo fácil que es usarla. Todos los instructivos vienen en inglés, pero hay mucha información y videos para usarla. Lo más impactante es la función de Steam Crisp: es capaz de convertir una pechuga de pollo congelada y unas pocas especias en un pollito dorado súper jugoso y con mucho sabor en más o menos media hora. No notarás que la cocinaste directamente congelada, y si desde el principio agregas arroz hasta el fondo y en los últimos 10 mins le agregas verduritas congeladas, tendrás la comida completa en esa misma media hora. Básicamente lo que hace es cocinar al vapor primero y luego freir para que quede todo perfecto. Puedes cocinar cualquier cosa que puedes hacer en una sarten y dicen que se 'puede hornear fácilmente de modo tradicional o a baño maría. La seguiré probando y actualizaré en unos meses.

Lo único malo: sí es una lata limpiarla, pero si lo haces siempre tras cada uso, se vuelve más sencillo.
