Vladislav Stulikov: Eye piece cover is the only thing making me put 4 stars. Optical quality is awesome, absolute clarity, vibrant colours, wide view. Build quality is great too.
Eye piece covers just do not fit eye pieces and fall off every time you touch it. Astonishing optical quality excuses the only drawback.

G. Edwards: Happy with the binoculars and are as advertised. Got a great deal from Amazon warehouse as they were in open box. Cannot detect any fault with them, so pleased with purchase. I do a lot of birdwatching and they work well in field. The extra magnification over my old pair really helps.

Spooky: This is my first pair of binoculars. They are great- light, perfect size, great color reproduction, resolution and clear image. Great quality for the price. They are 10x42 with ED glass, multicoated, waterproof and fog resistant. My husband wears glasses, he does not need them while using the binoculars, the turn and slide rubber eyecups work great. Box included case, strap and lens caps. Comments, answers to questions and reviews made by customers in Amazon regarding different types and brands of binoculars made a big difference in my selection. Some binoculars with similar price are sold with no lens caps, not good in my opinion. There are other binoculars for less money with lenses with minimum requirements. I can tell what a good set of sunglasses will make for me when you live in the Sunshine State and realized I needed good quality of lenses for my new binoculars. We have some much wild life in our backyard that is has been a pleasure to be able to enjoy that! Highly recommended, they are worth the money. Amazon has never been a disappointment. Excellent service, fast delivery.

Caleb: First off...I originally ordered these from Amazon a few days before my hunting trip and they ended up getting lost and came late. I ended up purchasing them from Cabela's and returned the ones that eventually came from Amazon. I love Amazon and they always come through for us, but they screwed this one up a little. On to the binos....

While at Cabela's I was able to look through many pairs of binoculars that I had been considering and comparing to these. The first on the list was the Leupold Cascades, roof prism 10x42. Inside the store the Nikon was slightly better, at about $10 more than the Cascades. Luckily they were on sale so I picked them up at $50 off at $279. They also had a clearer image than the Vortex Diamondback and the Ziess Terra that were listed at nearly $450. Of course the Conquest's were amazing but well over $1000 which was out of my price range at the time. Everyone that I know that owns and uses Nikon binos from the Prostaff's to Monarchs are very satisfied, and after a pretty grueling elk hunt this year, being able to put them through their paces, so am I. aeronaut: The main reason I chose this pair was its advertised long eye relief distance. This is the longest distance between the eye and the front of the eyepiece that still gives the full field of view. It's especially important for short sighted people like myself because our eyeglasses add an additional optical element to the system, considerably extending its length (an alternative is to remove the glasses, but it is less convenient and one loses correction for astigmatism). I found this pair's eye relief more than sufficient for my prescription (which is close to -4.5). Lengthy viewing does not cause any eye strain. The binoculars are lightweight, ergonomic, very good optically, and an outstanding value for a little over $300. They are an excellent choice for a casual user.
