NewAir Compressor Wine Fridge: Keep Your Wines at Perfect Temperature

David A Bertrand: What many don't seem to understand is that ALL manufacturers, including Newair, state their bottle capacities based on STANDARD Bordeaux-sized bottles that are 2.75" in diameter. If all your bottles are that size, you will fit 51 of them comfortably in this fridge. White wines, pinot noir, burgundy, champagne and other size bottles are larger than standard, and you will not fit 51 of them in this fridge. It's the same as every other fridge on the market. In addition, the shelves are spaced for standard bottles also, so be aware that you may need to remove a shelf or two to accommodate the other sized bottles without scraping them.

Having made that point, this so far appears to be a nice fridge for a great price. My only complaint (like some others) is that the temperature readout on the outside of the door is extremely bright. The interior LED light, however, is perfect.

Pros: good looking unit with stainless steel door, touch control and a couple of wheels to ease the movement. Looks nice and sturdy.

Cons: you can fit 50 bottles of very slim ones, not even a regular size is good enough. The distance between shelfs is barely minimum and damage the label every time you move a shelf or bottle. Suggested layout is to place one bottle front and other back, but you can only do that for chardonnay type bottles but there's the issue with height and width. Having a 38 layout would be useful and honest.

Am I returning? No, looks good and I intended to have about 40 bottles so just removing a couple of shelfs I'm able to manage. With an external thermometer I found this cooler struggle to get the temperature after opening and in general varies about 1-2 fahrenheit from display.

If you are concern about humidity, this is an stardard fridge so de-humidify the environment and will be about 20%, far below the recommended for wine. This is normal in this type of coolers, so just placing a small container of water provides a fair level of humidity.

Robert GentileRobert Gentile: I could only get 32 bottles in and I had to take a shelf out even to squeeze in that amount. The top shelf can hold 5, but trying to get more than 4 in the lower shelfs was difficult at best I I was worried that I would damage the bottles trying to get more in. The bottles were all 750's from Napa. Other than that, it is a nice wine cooler for the price.

Update: the more I use this wine cooler the less I like it. The shelves are difficult to pull out and the shelves are spaced to close together to accommodate normal size bottles.

T: Love it. My only issue are the bright LED lights that I cannot seem to turn off. I've covered it up but if you're in a small apartment just something to be mindful of.
