Audrey Schwenke: My cat has been wearing it for about a month and I’ve already seen it up twice. Not at all sturdy and certainly only meant for a photo shoot. I had to take pliers and pry off the bell and the cheap plastic gold charm in order for my cat to stand it at all. Super duper cute tho! Just know your cat WILL shred it.

Kim: The design is perfect for my Lord Tokugawa! I can't imagine him in anything else, except maybe that foam samurai armor for pets... Anyway, I bought him one a few years ago when I got him, and the "tie ends" were only lightly bonded to the felt backing. I sewed those back together, but of course the fabric started fraying. On this new one, I put a healthy amount of fabric glue on the edges, and so far it's doing a great job!
I have to have it on him loosely because after a while it begins to saw off the fur on his neck. While there is a very soft backing on the collar itself, it has a rough edge and doesn't cover the entire width of the collar and allows the rough patterned cloth to contact and rub against his fur. You can always temporarily tighten it if you're taking pictures of all the cuteness, but be sure to loosen it again when you're done.

TheasophiaTheasophia: Collar lasted almost exactly 2 months before becoming damaged in a way that could be dangerous to the cat. The top of one half of the "bowtie" portion began coming unstitched and the interfacing became exposed.

That part of the collar is a nice fabric, but it's very exposed to back-paw-scratching behavior sitting at the top of the collar the way it does. You can see in the second photo that my cat scratches often behind his left ear with his left back paw, and hardly at all on the right. I didn't really expect this to last very long, and it actually lasted about twice as long as I expected.

Despite that, if I'd caught it sooner, it would be possible to sew it back up. I've already ordered the same collar again as a replacement, and I will probably reinforce it there before I even put it on him for the first time.

AndieAndie: Very lovely collar. I bought this for my 4 month old maltipoo. We've used it for 5 days now, but it definitely seems way more sturdy and durable than I expected from reading people's reviews. I'll update if gets frayed or worn quickly. It picks up a lot of hair from being on the neck, and my maltipoo doesn't even shed. So I imagine this will pick up a lot of cat hair. I took off the bell because my loud-stepping pup didn't really need it. Adding his dog-tag to the ring was easy.

The 'break-away' clasp that I've been reading about hasn't been a problem so far. I'm sure my pup isn't as smart as a cat to try and get it off, but he does get zoomies and rolls around a lot and it still hasn't come off. I have not tried it with a leash yet.

It fits my maltipoo so nicely. I hope he doesn't outgrow it because definitely I wanna buy more of these.
