Kaitlynn: The knife is bigger than I thought it would be overall its 5 in when it is closed. The handle is some sort of hard plastic with the lines painted on it. The blade itself is not extremely sharp at the moment, but my boyfriend would sharpen it more regardless so that does not matter to me. The knife is also spring assisted so I would be careful when opening it if you are not used to this function. The leather cord is thin so that will probably break off with the way he treats his knives however the knife itself is very study. My only comment is I ordered this in black and I got the white version which I also liked so again this is ok by me.
