angie Schneiderangie Schneider: Beautiful basket and love the wood plate on the bottom inside of the basket. Super sturdy! Definitely doesn’t look cheap or fray like other baskets. I also appreciate that it’s not overwhelmingly huge, it’s a medium sized basket but holds all my essentials. Great purchase!

Amazon Customer: It's OK. It's a simple basket. You kind of get sold on the whole 'Nantucket' thing, but it's made in China. The brass metal plate on the front fell off the first day, etc. Still it's a basket. I wouldn't buy this brand again personally and would aim for better value for the high price.

ChuckR: Nice basket, does the job, looks good, not your typical crappy straw basket. Wood bottom is good feature, makes basket sturdier and stuff doesn't fall thru. One point that is imporant is that unlike some metal baskets, this can't damage your bike and is truly universal fit. No need for "a few simple hand tools" to install, fingers are all you need. Loosen or tighten the straps to allow for cables, different handlebars, or whatever. Have hed it only couple of weeks, so can't really offer any comments on durability. But I can say I live at the beach, use my bike for everything up to 4-5 miles, carry gym gear, mail, groceries, towel, windbreaker/sweatshirt on a daily basis with no problems so far. A Jack Russell terrier does not fit (just in case you thought about it).

Guysgurl: This basket is very good quality, it was packaged very well, and reasaonably quick shipping! I am extremely pleased with how it looks on my Electra Townie 7D. I tried the Electra white wire quick release at first. All I did was bring it home, hold it up to my bike and saw that it wasn't going to be the look I was hoping for. After finding that this wicker basket is out of stock or on back order at many places (including the Nantucket company themselves at the time I was shopping for it), it was a welcome sight to find Niagara Cycle company showing it in stock. I was concerned about it hanging from the handle bars in front of the cables, but it fits nicely without kinking them at all. It's sturdy and holds a light jacket, water bottle and snack just perfectly. I didn't need this basket for carrying groceries, which it would hold a small bag of a few lighter items I'm sure. If I need to carry groceries at some point, I will get a rack and basket system for the back. The wicker color really highlights my orange and white bike :) I couldn't be happier!!

N.D.: I never thought I could get excited about a bike basket. But after a terrible experience with a dried out, cracked and splitting cheap-o basket I was practically giddy as I pulled this out of the box. The quality is fantastic - thick leather straps, a small tight weave, solid wood bottom, nice finish and not a crack or split in sight! It's held up well with almost 15 lbs of items in it at time so far (the last one cracked with 5) and the shape stops it from bouncing around much. I'm still hoping to find a way to secure it with a third strap around the handle bar stem, but only to stop it from sliding side to side. It looks great on my cruiser, holds what I need it to and has held up fantastic so far. There's not much more I could ask for.
