Natalia Merson: I bought this book for my first grader who has been reading fluently now and wanting to know more about the Bible. The pictures and words are perfect for this age. Now my kiddo doesn’t need me to sit with her to read about God and Jesus, she can open this book whenever she wants and reread it often.

T. Gaston: I Can Read My Illustrated Bible: for Beginning Readers, Level 1 is an excellent beginning Bible. The stories are brief and nicely illustrated. The youngest grandchild found this book really interesting. He enjoyed the stories and the pictures. It was just at his reading level. And it was easy for me to supplement the stories with additional facts from the full Bible, and explain the timeline. There are huge jumps in time between many of the stories.

JDJD: Originally bought this Bible for my daughter to begin reading aloud, as she learns to read. It’s done a great job speaking to her age and understanding; as well as providing challenging new words to help build her vocabulary and confidence. The stories are long enough to begin developing her reading endurance, but not so long that she gets worn out.
This week I have been exceptionally pleased with how well it breaks down and tells the Easter story. We have been following a Holy Week daily devotional provided by our church and this reader has kept up wonderfully! It has been a great addition for her to read to me, along side what I read to her from my bible. Very pleased. Very thoughtfully written and beautifully illustrated. Highly recommend.
