Doug: I just purchased a silicone case to fit my new Echo ear buds, but the piece of the case that cover the lid wouldn’t stay on because of the design. after looking for some adhesive options, it lookd like museum putty would work. so I took 4 pieces of putty that were about 1/2 the size of a pea, and stuck them on the lid and pressed a silicone case down on top of it. after giving the case, a good hard press you can hardly tell that there’s anything underneath attaching it. The putty seems to hold very well. Doesn’t seem like it’s going to come off anytime soon.

Berlin Curtis III: Perfectly acclimated and not super sticky. Just sticky enough to melt over time but has been know to hold great pieces of earth and all matter display. Highly recommend 👌

Doctor NerveDoctor Nerve: I wanted to attach a metal star to a reproduction of Glen Buxton's pink Les Paul, replacing the foil star I'd put there as a place holder. I didn't want to use epoxy because wanted to be able to change my mind, perhaps changing position slightly, for example, and I did not want to damage the custom finish with hardcore glue. My best friend Tom recommended this museum putty jazz, and it was the perfect solution for this purpose. I applied it to the star, positioned it, pressed down, trimmed a little of the putty peaking out around the edges, the restrung the guitar. I prodded the star and wobbled the guitar around to see if it was attached solidly, and it's really secure. Couldn't be happier.
Long live Glen Buxton of the original Alice Cooper band!

Kimberly Stokes: I collect Breyer model horeses, and a few other odds and ends. I am also legally blind, so often when I reach for something it is not uncommon for me to accidentally bump into something else and knock it over. With Breyer horses and other items, this can easily spell disaster! Without fail to mention that occasionally some Breyer models do not stand level or are in a position that is precarious and easily knocked over. I was instantly impressed and assured as soon as I opened the package of Quake Hold that it was the answer to all of my concerns. Its SO easy to cut a piece off, and roll into a little ball and put on the hooves of the models that touch the ground, (and sometimes tails of rearing models) and it holds them firmly (but not overly-stuck) to theh shelves and I have often bumped into one model while reaching for another, and it did not fall over because this product works like a perfect charm! I have used it elsewhere in my home, to hold crystal items on a mentle, pen caddies in place on my desks, phone charger pads on my end tables and night stands. There are endless uses for it and it has absolutely met every single expectation and more! Absolutely order with...

Yvonne B.: I'm combining reviews of the three related products from the same company, because being able to contrast the pro and cons (and intended use) of each, would have helped me when I bought them.

First off, Museum Putty and Quakehold Putty are the same thing. It say so in the leaflet that come with it. They have two different names just to market to different users.

They also make Quakehold Gel, and Museum Wax.

Gel requires a sealed surface, and says not to use on wood. It is clear, and if you need to anchor a clear vase to a glass shelf, this is your product. I found it is also the most difficult to work with, so take that into account. It has a very slow motion ooze to it (like very, very thick honey), and I simply could not get it to stick to a crystal vase (to apply it directly to the vase) - I had to apply it to the shelf, and put the vase on it. Once I gave it time to "set" (and cleaned up the extra that oozed out), it did hold the vase well, and is virtually invisible.

Wax is what you want for anchoring something to a wooden surface. It's a soft white color (translucent in a thin layer) that isn't obtrusive under most items. It's not hard like candle...
