Luanne: Sometimes you just don’t need all the bells & whistles. This coffee pot is perfect! I’m retired, I don’t need a timer to start the coffee. I get up, start my coffee, let the dogs out, make the bed, coffee is ready! If not I can grab a cup with no worries of spilling with the sneak a cup. And I don’t have to worry about getting a cold cup of coffee later because there is no auto shutoff!! Perfect for me! My DIL wishes hers didn’t have an auto shutoff. Highly recommend. Great price, too!

happy shopper: This item is a slightly different design from a previously owned Mr. Coffee. There is a built-in filter feature, which has advantages, but presents a bit of a problem. The fixed position of the filter unit and the movable arm make pouring the water into the reservoir a bit difficult -- especially for a left-hand user.

J. Thomas: The last Mr. Coffee lasted years longer than this one. This one just decided it didn't want to turn on anymore. I think the problem is with the switch. Everything else that I plugged into that outlet worked fine. I'm really getting tired of disposable appliances.

S123: It may not be fair to the product, but I ordered it online and once I opened it, felt I couldn't return it. The cord is too short for my needs and the top which you have to open to put in coffee and water is so big that every time I use it, I have to unplug it to move it out from underneath the upper cabinets. It's annoying in a petty way. I would also prefer to have each cup marked on the side, not marked in twos (2 cups, 4 etc) so that I don't have to guess when I pour water.

Samantha Allen: I like that it is no-fuss and stays on until it is manually turned off. However, my two negatives would be that the lid is quite large and doesn't open nicely under cabinets, and that the on/off light needs to be brighter or a different colour (its hard to tell from a distance if its on)

Lana Marshall: I love my mr coffee in all ways except the plug in on the prong is too big and hard to put in and pull out of the socket. It sparks when I pull it out. Is there any way this problem could be corrected . I don’t want a fire.

JWB: This is not a _great_ coffee maker, but it seems to fit into the "old, reliable" category. (At least I'm hoping it will.) There are NO bells and whistles, no clocks to set, and you have to be responsible enough to turn the thing off when you're done. If you don't like this sort of thing, this coffee maker is not for you. However, if you've recently had to ditch a coffee maker because the electronics stopped working, this is a pretty good answer. It has one control, an on/off switch.
It makes good coffee. That's all it's supposed to do, and it does it.
