AshleyAshley: These are enjoyable treats! I got the pomegranate pistachio flavor, because it sounded like a neat combination, but the other flavors sounded yummy too. They're chewy, but the pistachio pieces provide a nicely contrasting crunch. I think the pomegranate flavor could have been a little stronger, but still enjoyed it.
The box was very well packaged! The outer box was shrink wrapped, and the smaller inner box that housed the delights was also shrink wrapped, then had a little piece of cardstock inside acting as a lid, and under that, the delights themselves were wrapped in paper. All of that meant that none of the powdered sugar spilled during transit, which I had been worried about. I do think it would be easily giftable due to its nice packaging.
I got the medium size, and while the box was physically smaller than I was expecting (based on the product picture), I think amount of delights inside were reasonable for the price.
All in all, I wouldn't say these are "betray-your-family-to-the-White-Witch" good, but I did enjoy them, and would consider ordering some of the other flavors.

Talitha M.: I like these okay - they do taste (weakly) of pomegranate and I like the nuts in them, but I was disappointed (as keeps happening with my Turkish Delight purchases on Amazon) in general. The pomegranate flavor should be stronger, and the middle part tends to have a weird texture that is just ever-so-slightly "gooey" that good lokum doesn't seem to have. The worst part though is the outside which has WAY too much powdered sugar, and the first layer or two of the candy which has absorbed so much of that sugar while it was still wet/hot (revealing an improper method), that it's crusty and too sweet and whiter/not transparent like the middle part. To make these edible or even somewhat enjoyable, I had to rinse (and actually SCRUB) off the powdered sugar with water in the sink - which takes a while considering how much there is, and then soak them in lemon juice or lemonade, then let them dry. This makes them a lot better, but I shouldn't have to bathe and soak and dry my candy to enjoy it. :\ Only gave three stars because it's not the worst I've ever had, but it takes so much work to make them edible that I feel generous giving that many. Wouldn't recommend unless you like stuff...

TellTheTruth: Occasionally I treat myself or family with Turkish delights (lokum in Turkish), and have tried various "genuine" imported products. So after much sweet research, our consensus is Marmara!
Their flavors were superb, subtle and not overpowering. The nuts were generous in each bite. Other treats with heavy perfumes or sickenly sweet flavors just don't seem natural--that is too often the case. Not so with Marmara! Their pomegranate pistachio flavor was delightful, perfect for a one or two-bite treat. Try them with coffee or hot tea after dinner.
Some wrote reviews asking questions: as to size, the boxes are packed by weight, and the Marmara large single-flavor delights are in 8.8 ounce boxes. The numbers may vary slightly, due to variations in cutting from batch to batch (that's more like a homemade confection would be). But the box is packed to yield 8.8 oz., and that's approximately 30 small Turkish delight cubes, dusted in confectioner's sugar (helps prevent sticking). (Also sold in a medium box, weighing 4.4 ounces.)
As someone recommended, open over the counter or a sink if concerned about the sugar -- it is usually mild.
And for a party, order the mixed...

S: I've wanted to try Turkish delights forever, ever since I read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (as most people here probably have).
I've tried these Turkish delights, along with Marmara's assorted fruit flavored one. The assorted fruit flavors kind of reminded me of high quality Mike and Ike's... the flavors weren't anything special. This one was so much better because of the rich nuttiness provided by the pistachios. I freaking love pistachios in anything sweet. The pomegranate part is jelly-beanish, not sickly sweet, fruity, and aromatic. The pomegranate and pistachios combined created an almost banana-y (my boyfriend thought they were banana flavored), chewy, crunchy candy that you absolutely must savor with some nice mint tea.
The packaging, while elegant, is not air-tight (which can dry out your Turkish delights); the top of the box is basically just a flap. The box accidentally fell off my car seat while I was turning and caused a huge powdery mess. That was really my fault because I should've known better than to put a never-sealing, slippery, glossy box full of powdered sugar in a moving car.
If you're the paranoid type, keep a mirror nearby so...

Always looking to mimic life more closely: I remember reading about Turkish Delight in The Chronicles of Narnia as a kid, but didn’t even know it was real. Recently I heard the name again, looked it up and was intrigued. After perusing the options I decided to try the fig and walnut. Thankfully I didn’t read the reviews first or else I probably wouldn’t have bothered. They arrived perfectly, wrapped well and no sign of staleness. I didn’t even know it’s real, so I can’t attest to the quality as compared to other brands. I’m hardly a critic, so I can’t tell you about taste profiles or any of that. What I can say is that I enjoy figs and I enjoy walnuts. This treat is chewy, and substantial, and the taste is divine! I mean, seriously… WOW! So if you’re a critic or grew up eating Turkish Delight than take this review with a grain of salt, but if like me you’ve never tried it and the pictures look good and you like figs and walnuts, TRY THIS! Soooo glad I took the chance to try something new.
