BeckyT24: I have been purchasing Mountain House freeze dried food for well over 10 years now. They even sell the pouches at Walmart now. My only real complaint is that the cost changes daily and can be quite expensive on most days. Definitely recommend Mountain House to anyone who wants to be prepared for everything.

🌈 KT: We've had this many times and loved it. The noodles aren't mush. I do use about 2 TBSP more water than called for. I zip the pkg back up and shake a couple of times while waiting. Add maybe 5 mins to wait time as well, if you prefer a softer noodle.
Mountain House is our favorite, by far, prepared foods seller. Never any TVP or fillers. They don't use wads of salt and/or citric acid as cheap "flavor". No preservatives or any other crud.
As well as being a prepper in general, we live in the mountains. Being snowed in, often w/o power, is fairly normal and this is part of our preparation for it. They have a large range of meals, a decent range of sides and breakfasts, and you can't beat a 25+ yr shelf life.
