jesus: I absolutely loved this pack. I used it for a Spartan race. They only need to tweak a couple things and it would be perfect. Like the clasp that hold the tube in place from not moving doesn't rotate so it was really hard to put in place so i didn't use it but no biggie. also if the waist strap Pockets were made a tad longer it would be perfect because it's a wiedrd reach to unzip to retrieve what is in the pockets when your on the move. I will be recording this item though. I love it. It got snagged on barbed wires rolled around with it and doesn't even show any wear

Jessica: I bought 8 of these for our travels. These were great. The bags were easy to fill and they didn't leak. The bags are insulated so it did a decent job of keeping the water cold. You cold also carry other things in the bag which was nice and they have the waist belt which during a long hike us very necessary. Super comfortable to wear

bamarocks: I bought this specifically for hiking in Zion National Park. It was just what I needed. It has plenty of room for a phone and incidentals in the outer pocket. I also liked and used the little pockets on the waist line. They were great for chap-stick, etc.

Gary D. Schroeder: I find this pack well made. I have been using it about once a week for 4 months and I have not seen any sign of problems except the bladder which developed a leak. I contacted the company through Amazon and they replaced the bladder quickly.
The pack is comfortable due to an adequate amount of shoulder padding, a chest strap and a waist strap. The waist strap is particularly useful for keeping the drinking hose from flopping around.
It has enough room to store the things from your packets as well as emergency items such as a poncho, knife and rope and an energy bar or three.
Also, the insulated water compartment keeps the water at a good temperature (I think it would handle a larger bladder than 2L) and the hose works well.
I would definitely buy it again.

Linda F.Linda F.: If they send me a replacement bladder I will change this rating to a 5. (EDIT - the did.) The pack is beautifully made. Construction looks excellent. But the beautiful instructions SEEM to stop at the bottom of the first side. Step 1 put the bladder in. Step 2 thread the tube thru the strap. Step 3 Enjoy.

So I look at it and think "hmmm, got to get that tube attached to the bladder". Look at it. Look at the bladder. Decide it looks a lot like a salad dressing bottle top that needs the tab lifted, so lift the tab. It popped off and I cannot get it back on. The tube goes in but it doesn't latch. (EDIT - the replacement tube just pops in and automatically locks.)

At some point the instructions get flipped over (maybe even by accident, I don't know) and AHA - we were not done and ready to enjoy as step 3 indicated. The tab is the lock and release. I can see how it fit in, but I cannot get the tab back on.

If I had just barged into it without looking at the instructions I would say my fault. But I followed the instructions, which seemed to end at the bottom of the front side. I don't think I even knew the back side wasn't blank.
