Shelly: We needed some roasting sticks for our summer camping trips and these have been just the ticket. I like that they are expandable, so little hands can stay away from the flames, or you can shorten them for a fondue night with friends. They are sturdy for regular hotdog and marshmallow use, but won't withstand a two year old bending them in half... We bring these along with us to cookouts and gatherings and have gotten a lot of use out of them this summer. Except for the one the toddler broke, they are still going strong.

Sam S.: Used this on a camping trip to roast marshmallows. Held up great until you play with it a lot. Toddler was pulling and pushing the telescopic wand and one eventually broke. It was a clean cut breakage so that made me think that it was not so sturdy. But it is overall a good use for camping.

vcw: got these to replace my old cheap non-retractable roasting sticks. the biggest plus these have over the non retractable ones is that they are much shorter for easier storage. I'm always struggling to see where i can stick the old ones in the storage bins and these i can just toss anywhere and they will fit. having 8 of these also means no one needs to share/wait for someone to finish roasting their marshmallow so everyone's happy.
