Jan Kline: It is a nice bike, but we had to spend more money and take it to a bike shop for brake and gear adjustments. The employee at the bike shop said that usually has to be done.

Martin Guay: Bought this bike for my 8 years old girl. Bike came partially assembled. Instructions / assembly manual was not user friend, had to google / YouTube to adjust the break. Took a few hours to solve all little problems. Once assembled and a few ride completed, I can said it is a very good bike for $300. Will probably get one (smaller) for my 6 years old soon.

Lee: Easy to assemble but the the instructions are for a full bike rebuild vs. Putting the 4 components together. Installing the front tire was a pain untill I realized afterwards that I could easily lift off the brake wire to fit the tire in. Needs an instruction booklet for putting 4 pieces together.
Otherwise it is a nice solid bike for youth.

D. StringerD. Stringer: Bought this bike for my 10 year old daughter with an inseam of 29". She rides the bike well with only rare taking-off-up-hill issues.
I ordered from Amazon and not a third-party retailer. The box arrived in perfect shape. No issue with the bike being damaged or scratched in any way. The bike arrives mostly assembled. Be careful unpacking the front wheel. If you need to, rotate the pedal arms until the front wheel is relatively free. If not, you'll likely bend the spokes and damage the wheel.
Assembly is the biggest thing you'll need to consider before purchasing a bike. The assembly itself is easy. The somewhat tricky part is adjusting the brakes and derailleur system. I'm the type of person who can never bring myself to pay some one to replace a light fixture, work on my lawn mower, replace brake pads on my vehicle, or repair a leaky faucet. If something breaks, I fix it myself. Still, having not assembled a bike in roughly 20 years, I had to take my time and exercise patience in adjusting the brakes until they were "just right." The rear derailleur adjustment isn't too complicated, but it is tricky if you've never done it before. I recommend looking up a YouTube...
