Rick Kaiser: We had to replace the previous gate opener that was a mighty mule as well. I was able to reuse a lot of the previous mounting brackets.

James Reed: It appears to be well made and quality parts, but when I took a half day off work to install they system, I opened the boxes and the original manufacturer package had been opened and was missing the control box, wiring, and the solar panel. Not very useful, and not very "New", when I purchased a new unit. Appears to have been a return that was missing parts and then just shipped back out for full price. Lucky me. Thanks Mighty Mule, for costing me time and money!

dave: Easy to install. Works as advertised. Good quality. I do have a couple small issues with the instructions though. They wrote the book, yep it’s thick, to include all the different options you could get without differentiating between them. It would have been nice if they listed each version with a letter or number, then referring back to the letter or number for setup. This took me a little extra time figuring it out, maybe ten minutes more. The opener has made my life easier and drier. No more getting out of the car to open the gate in the rain.

Sparky: Installed on a 14’ farm gate. Worked fine from Saturday to Friday. The next Saturday i tried to open my gate, gate didn’t move, motor sounds like its grinding inside the arm. I called to get a refund/replacement. Replacement not available, i can get a refund of up to $117, not even half the cost of a replacement arm. I don’t know if this seller is selling refurbished equipment or if mighty mule is puny. So disappointed.

JeremyJeremy: I installed the gate opener on a 12ft tube gate. Gate swings in. Installation went smoothly, completed in 2-3 hrs in the dark with a headlamp.

Pros:
* Easy installation. As an EE, I am used to looking at electrical schematics, so that may skew my experience.
* Came with three remotes! I was expecting only two.
* Was easy to program our vehicles' built in remotes to open the gate.
* Remote seem to have a 100-200ft range, depending on conditions.
* It looks great installed, in my opinion.

Cons:
* Does not come with a battery or case to store a battery.
* Included cabling is a bit shorter than I would have preferred, especially from the opener to control board.
* Solar panel can be purchased separately, for less.
* One of the remotes seems to not have the same range (worse) as the other two.
* The stock pins it comes with are not the most secure. I may change them out for a more secure option in the future. It would be trivial to bypass the gate opener if you know what you are looking for... Thus the reason for an additional alarm/camera system.
* Did not include the muffler brackets to connect to a tube gate like...
