J L: This is on par with the best fountain-pen friendly paper. No bleeding, little show-through, and a great texture if you like a bit of feedback. The journal itself isn’t much of a journal, but just treat it well and you won’t have any issues. We buy it for the paper anyway, and it does not disappoint! I use triomphe stationery and I personally like Mnemosyne journals for notes (i subjectively prefer the smooth feel and white color), but this is top-notch as well. If you like off-white/cream color paper, it’s tough to beat! My wife uses this exclusively for journaling and loves it. And I agree with her that the general presentation is “prettier” than other options out there

Ryan: This is my first premium paper notebook. I love it. I have tried a few cheaper fountain pen friendly papers before but this is far better. So, so smooth. No bleed through. I have a gel pen that has bled through every other fountain pen paper I have tried and it does not bleed through this. Holds the ink nice and tight. Its a pleasure to write with. Tried 13 different pen and ink combos. The show through is higher than other notebooks I have, but i don't mind writing on the other side.

Ata: Das Notizbuch und ihr Papier motivieren einen einfach zum Schreiben und Umgang mit dem Buch. Das Buch kommt mit Wachspapier umschlagen, wobei es alternativ auch richtige Cover zu kaufen gibt. Das Papier ist cremefarbend, was mir sehr gefällt, allerdings verfälscht es durch die Farbe das Erscheinungsbild der Tinte, also nicht für jeden was. Ich benutze es als Tagebuch, und meine Füllfederhalter gleiten über das Papier. Das Papier ist sehr glatt, was es gegen Öle von der Hand sehr anfällig macht und es sein kann das dort wo die Hand über das Papier ging der Füller "rutscht". Für Tinte allerdings dennoch ein wunderschönes Papier, Sheening und Shading sind super sichtbar, und die Tinte blutet nicht aus bzw. ist auf der Rückseite auch nicht sichtbar. Mit Bleistift oder Gel/Kugelschreiber auch super.

Amazon Customer: Got it for journaling, and half-way though it.
Its a minimalist notebook, so make sure you are ok with that.
The paper quality is great, and the lines are very nice.

My only problem is the spine. There is a very thin layer of glue and fabric holding the spine together. It seems sturdy enough where the signatures won't fall off, but I notice the spine permanently curving into an arch. This is from opening the book completely 180 degrees and writing on it. It stretches the spine out.

What happens is that the book becomes no longer able to sit flat and flush on a table. It becomes a little "conch-like", especially if you store it upright without applying much pressure to compress the covers together to make it flat.

But all in all, its a cute book, but the lack of reinforcement in the covers gives me a few doubts as to if it will last for many years
