JD: After monitoring it closely for 48 hours with a freezer thermometer this held temp nearly perfectly, only noticed about 1 degree F of variation during that period. The lock on the bottom is a pain if the fridge is on the floor and it's a little big to have on a shelf. Not being able to adjust the shelves was a letdown but there are cooling lines running through the shelves which probably help freeze things quickly with direct convection rather than waiting for chilled air to pull heat out of an object so it's a decent trade off.

Bruce D.: The freezer arrived the day after ordering. It is very light so is easy to jockey into place. Incredibly silent when operating. I got the jet black version so it inoffensively lurks in the shadows of my dining room without presenting an eyesore that screams, "Look at me! I'm a a piece of mechanical equipment sitting next to all that walnut furniture! Aren't I out of place?! Woohoo!" The important thing is it more than doubles my frozen food capacity so I can happily hibernate over the winter without having to visit the supermarket in the midst of a blizzard. (Hooray for me!)

Darrell Mabe: The freezer arrived with a puncture and long dent in the door. The packaging had been taped with black tape all along the bottom as if it had been resealed. The foam board padding was not punctured at the damaged site in the door leading one to believe it had been repackaged with new padding. There was no manual or paperwork in the box. I like the freezer. It is perfect for my needs, but am reluctant to reorder because of this experience. I do not fault the delivery service. It was on time and properly placed. The damage could have happened well before it came to the distributor.

Sabrestreak-: I have an upright ‘Side-by-Side’ refrigerator / freezer and needed more freezer space. As I plan on remodeling my kitchen in the near future, I required a unit that fits under a standard height kitchen counter and this unit meets my design criteria. When “running” the unit is very quiet and performs as one would expect, i.e., it keeps everything inside frozen. What I like the most is the freezing system. Instead of blowing cold air via a fan into the freezer compartment it has four coolant circulating tubes in a closed system. One tube is located at the top and bottom (beneath a pullout wire storage basket) of the unit and one tube is located in each of the two fixed wire rack shelves. These wire rack shelves have a top and bottom approximately 1/2” apart forming a “sandwich” (if you will) through which the coolant circulating tube runs. Because of this type system (as opposed to a fan system) there are no areas in which the items inside aren’t frozen. For the price and cubic capacity, I think it’s actually very reasonably priced when compared to other undercounted freezer units. Would I buy this item again, absolutely yes.
