I've owned A LOT of Merrells throughout the years, and these are hands down the most comfy yet. They are also really durable and require no break-in period.

I bought this shoe primarily for walking on metal roofs, doing repair work. I have also found them to be comfortable and stable for my winter walking, as long as the snow isn't too deep.

This is my second pair of Merrell shoes this year. The first I now wear everyday at work because they are so comfortable and keep your foot solid. These will be used for hiking. I ordered wide because I went through a pair of Keen hiking shoes only in two days of hiking due to my large feet. I am convinced Merrell will hold on and pass the test when I go hiking this summer. Merrell are now my favorite brand of shoes for hiking in the summer, early autumn and late spring. I must say that for more cold temperature and muddy conditions I fell in love with the other excellent brand Xpeti waterproog leather hiking boots.

Update : Added a star. Wanted these for the grip & waterproofing when taking off to fly my paramotor & the grass is always wet. Flew this morning & they worked well, feet are dry & not slippery. I did add my own brown leather accents because the grey is just ugly.
