michael cullen: I have been using these hose sprayers for years and they work great. Only problem is when left outside in the Florida sun they do not last long, a year at best. For the price they should last a lot longer. Price was cheaper on Amazon than home depot.

Renaissanista: Melnor was contacted March 2023 for April 2022 purchase that cracked.
Received a new handle within a week after contract.
Great service.
Will buy again and for family.
The wand really works well. I love it, just bring it inside over winter for sure. And don't make a habit of dropping it. (I'mcareful with mine.)

Loved it, but it broke after one summer.
I brought it in in the fall.
Just put it on outside for 2023 and the handle area apparently split while it sat on the shelf indoors all winter.

I got sprayed.
May have to buy a new one every year.

Anne M. Till: I have over 1000 plants so I use my hose nozzles a lot for hand watering. This one works pretty well and lasts a while. It will continue to work best if you treat it with care (don't drop it and don't lay it directly in dirt). I get about 6 months to a year out of one of these before the heads become somewhat annoying (but still useable). They don't tend to leak. I have had many of these exact nozzles and will continue to only buy this one since it's been the most reliable and useful for me.

Amazon Customer: I have bought several different spray nozzles over the years and have been disappointed because of frequent problems. I bought the Melnor water wand last spring and liked it so I ordered 2 more on Amazon. The spray options all worked well and once you select the spray pattern you just need one hand to operate it and can easily control the valve with just your thumb. It is now Spring Again and I discovered 2 of the wands that I bought are now leaking through the handle. There was mention of a two year warranty so I called Melnor to find out if they were covered. I assumed that I would have to ship the two back that had problems and wait for replacements or repairs. Instead the associate took my address and sent me 2 new water wands. I am always very impressed these days when a company provides excellent customer service and stands behind their product without making you jump through hoops. I asked if the leak problem is a common issue and was told that it happens when the wand is left out in freezing temperatures. I admitted that I had done that and did not know that would damage the item. I had disconnected and drained the hose and nozzle ahead of any freezing weather but...

Trent Robinson: I have purchased three units, the last two of which leaked just like the pictures shown by many reviewers. However, I really liked the appearance, feel and performance of the one that didn't leak. I wanted to know why these nice wands were leaking so badly and could I fix mine. I read review after review. One old guy said his leaked real bad until he installed the quick connect piece that comes with the wand. I did what he did, even though I thought it would be a waste of time. Wrong! No leaks after doing that. Then I realized that the second hose had Teflon wrapped around the threads of the hose and kept the hose from entering far enough into the wand to seat and seal into the rubber washer and that is why that hose and wand leaked. The third hose I used had a large hexagonal shape on the hose threaded connector which prevented the threaded portion from going in far enough to seat and seal internally in the wand. I added another washer and it no longer leaks.

Gladly, I now have three wands that do not leak when the hose is properly seated in the wand. Should you buy one and it leaks, double check your work before you either return it or make the mistake of throwing it...
