Madzie: Appreciate the simplicity of using this product, and it has been working pretty good so far. It truly is hands free an need light weight, once you set it right it starts doing its job well. I didn’t choose a particular size, the default one is fine with me.

Cave Man: FTM, mostly pumping. tried different hands free pump prior to Medela, and i just love this much more than the others. Medela hands free pumps fit my needs.
I like to multitask and take advantage of the time when my LO is taking his nap. LO is born at 32weeks, currently 6months old. He used to sleep a lot but now only takes nap between 25-40mins, very rare that he’ll nap for more than an hour (usually when someone is sleeping beside him- i wish i could). I pump right after he fall asleep, but most of the time by the time i finished (~20mins) he’ll wake up as well. Therefore, i don’t have much time to other things since i try to play with him as much as possible when he’s awake.
With Medela hands free i’m able to clean around the house again as soon as he falls asleep and pump at the same time.
other things i like:
- like how it fits in my nursing bra, discreet
- suction much better than other hands free pump i’ve tried. i’m getting same output as my wall pump
- display of the time
- less part, easy to clean
- can be connected with Bluetooth, I haven’t tried yet
don’t like much:
- short lanyard. i don’t always...

Patranouni Olajaph: I’ve had this pump for 6 months. I also have the freestyle flex (uses same motor) so I use this one as a secondary pump. You can get an extra discount if it’s on your baby registry too!
Pros: SO convenient! Easy for traveling, pumping in public, at a friend’s house
-good as a secondary pump or if you don’t need to pump often and aren’t worried about your supply dropping
- great having the digital screen (less thinking!)
-so quiet compared to other pumps!
- can put the motor in my pocket or fanny pack
- don’t have to worry about bottles falling off or the flanges sitting properly or sagging in your bra
Cons: based on my body and personal experience only -
-Does not pull milk as well as freestyle flex (bottle design with flanges)
-expensive to buy extra parts (if you can even find them!)
-always having to make sure you attach pieces and close everything securely to prevent spills
-difficult to see milk in cups while they’re in your bra
-cannot move around THAT much or carry baby the way they make it look like you can or else the milk will spill out
-the corner tab of mine cracked after 6 months since it’s just plastic...

Bailey Watson: Spring of 2023, I went to the baby show in Toronto and Medela was one of the companies that had products for sale. After talking with the Medela rep, and also another mom who said the Freestyle hands free pump with the new cups was a game changer, I ultimately decided on this pump for my pumping journey.
Now fast forward to July when I had my daughter. My nursing and pumping journey was challenging because my nipples were SO sensitive to everything. The pump hurt and nursing hurt so I figured it was me being sensitive and my daughter not having a good latch. So I just powered through pumping for a couple of months.
The cups only come with two size flanges and neither of them were the right size for me. And as far as I know, there are no inserts available for the cups as of yet. So my nipple was too small for the flange so it was pulling the skin around it into the flange so it was uncomfortable. Also, because the cups are made of hard plastic and not silicone, there is no give so I think that’s why for me, my nipples were always hurting.
The actual pump itself seems to have very good suction and lots of levels. I have never had any issues with the pump...

Klingler: UPDATED: It has been 6 months and I HATE THIS PUMP! I hate it so much it's 5AM and I am typing this out instead of sleeping bc I want to smash this damn thing into bits. First off you can never get the damn thing on your nipples the exact same time every time. You have to be in the bright lights, lining it up and it never works the first time, constantly relining it up. IF you don't line it up just right then you waste 15-30 minutes of pumping bc there barely a drop in there. BUT I produce so much I know my breasts are full and usually on my Spectra I can pull 10 oz no problem. On this...sometimes 5 oz sometimes 1 oz. it's awful. To solve this problem? Then you have to have a super tight bra to smash them between OR else it isn't powerful enough to stay in place and suction enough milk off. Then the tube that connects to the unit pulls out with the SLIGHTS tension! It will come out and fall the the ground in a heartbeat. This is a huge flaw!!! Where the tube connects to the egg cups is pressed in so TIGHT that you have to pry it out with your fingers. It hurts so much if you have any hand or finger issues OR long nails. They will snap those suckers off. The unit has NO CLIP or...

Isthatpaleo?: TLDR: I am an exclusively pumping mama who also has the Willow, Lansinoh Smart Pump, and Medela Pump in Style (old version from a friend). Let me tell you -- I use the Medela Freestyle Flex for all of my pumping sessions. It's the quietest of all, incredibly portable, increased my supply, and customer service is amazing.
Reasons why I love this pump -
While this pump is a traditional breast pump (it sticks out of your bra while you're pumping, and you have to watch how far you bend over so you don't spill milk out of the tiny holes in the connectors), it is slightly less annoying than other traditional pumps. The updated pumping parts are more intuitive (and therefore, easier) to assemble than previous versions, and the accessory parts are of nice quality. It is *insanely* quiet, and super portable (Yes, you can take it out of the house and pump, say, in your car, but you still can't pump in at like, the grocery store, because it sticks out the front of your special pumping bra and there's a fair amount of your breasts/nipples that is visible). The built-in, rechargeable lithium battery is really powerful, so suction power is great, even...

Amaz0n Cust0m3r: UPDATE: it has been one month since the Medela Freestyle Flex hit the market and I am STILL waiting for them to release the replacement kits. You can find the odd tube or breast shield but no connectors and everything is al la carte IF you find them at all. When I spoke to Medela they said it would be released mid Jan or end of Jan at the latest. I’m not sure what you are supposed to do if it breaks but I’m very confident there won’t be a replacement in my hand to use immediately as I had with other pumps. Here are some other cons that have happened in the last month.
LOSS OF MILK - at first I boasted that it was helping me get even more milk. I went from producing 23-25 ounces per day to 20 and now 16 ounces, all within the first month.
INJURY - with the evenflo breast shields they are two pieces that move with the nipple, the medela shield is one piece so your nipple is being dragged back and forth on the plastic, I now have a torn nipple around where it meets the breast shield, even with the 24mm on.
LACK OF COMMUNICATION- you would think with the lack of planning to introduce a new product with no replacement parts available, that they would at least...

Michelle: Being plugged into a wall was brutal and this allowed me to tidy up, watch a show, drive or whatever while pumping with minimal set up time. Literally a game changer
