Brenda: Does as advertised.
I used this pump to drain my 5100Litre spa.
It was much slower than anticipated but i do have an incline of about 10 ft over the 100ft length my hose was laid.
I had to make a couple runs to the hardware store to make it work for me.
1) I needed an adapter to connect my standard garden hose. ( which I thought it should connect to)
2) there wasn’t enough pressure to use with my expandable garden hose so I needed to purchase an old fashioned plastic garden hose.
It took about 5-6 hours to drain the entire spa.
I wish the cord length was about 5’ longer so I could get it to an optimal location in the spa.
I used the shortest filter for clean water.
The pump was quiet and light.
I also wish there was some sort of cord on it for raising and lowering it more easily below the water. But I ended up just getting into the spa and placing it where I wanted it.

Allan: I liked it, but, the sump that I have is too small and the float needs too much space.

Slow MO Jack: Our pipes burst under the house and I needed to drain several pools of water before they created more problems. I researched and found this pump which is rated for dirty water (which is what I had). Ordered it (along with hose, since it doesn't come with one). This pump has a float that hooks into a bracket on one of the handles, when the float is hooked into the bracket it is in manual mode and must be started and shut off manually (this is the mode I use), when the float is free from the bracket it is in the automatic mode which requires water to the top of the pump before it kicks on (my water was too shallow to use in this mode). To test it I filled our bathtub then emptied using the pump, I didn't time it but I was quite pleased with how well the pump performed. I did notice that I would have to tip the pump a bit to "burp" the air a couple of times to get it to start pumping. Bottom line: easy to use and it works. Would I buy again? Yes. Would I recommend? Yes.

Rob in TBay: It doesn't connect properly to a standard garden hose. The adaptor is the closest doesn't quite work. It doesn't have the right threading to secure a connection. I have to use sealing tape to secure to hose. It still leaks. Fix this one thing and I'll give a five star review.

KarlKarl: Plenty of pumping power for getting water from my well, using a Jackery Explorer 500 to power it. It's quiet and provides good flow. I *did* have an issue with the supplied connectors; the fitting I (incorrectly) assumed would attach to an ordinary garden hose would not, in fact, fit. HOWEVER, rummaging through my assortment of power washer fittings, I discovered that the KARCHER quick connect has the matching thread for the pump. I ordered a KARCHER disconnect set to complete my hookup. Now I can water the garden!

hunter4life: I just started with this pump by testing it a few times by sitting it in a dishpan and filling with water. I don't know how long this will last but for now it seems ok. I'll start by pointing out each minor disappointment by category. Why I gave four stars.
Easy To Use: for the most part yes it is except that it absolutely has to be in at least 6 inches of water to prime properly. I initially thought that as long as the base was under water it would be fine but no it will not pump anything unless half of the pump is under water. I literally thought I got a defective pump because it wouldn't suck just slosh water around like a washing machine and water would start to come out the crease between the two halves. After putting it in deeper water it pumped great and quick. On a side note the 6 inches is without any bases on it, add width of base to the six to know how deep the water should be.
Noise Level: yes it seems pretty quiet except for when not primed as stated before, it's noisiest when its not in deep enough water to prime and just sloshing water around. Basically draws air and wont pump.
Easy To Install: for the most part yes except initially I thought...
