This is another high quality honey-based rub form Meat Church, and is simply amazing sprinkled on bacon to make a candied style bacon really easily. Used on a port shoulder, it turned out really well - I like to add a bit more to the pan liquid for that finishing taste.

If you like the regular Honey Hog (my family likes it a bunch), but you want a little bit of heat to go along with it, then this is the right rub for you. This isnt super spicy, which makes it right for the Mrs. and my daughter. Will be buying another container when this one is empty.

We tried this at a course that a competition chef put on in a local brewery. We loved the slightly sweet and more spicy combo in this. We aren't big fans of the sugar heavy BBQ sauces and use this instead when smoking. (not in addition to a BBQ sauce). We've used it mostly on pork, tried it on chicken and only use salt and pepper on beef so far. I like spicy but if you use a lot it does make it spicy so be warned. TIP - Order more than one at a time if the shipping is flat rate to reduce the cost over time if ordering again.
