PJ: It keeps them from biting, but not a good fit for a heeler or longer slim nosed dog. Even though it seems well made, afraid she might get it off.

Mirri: Very nice material and cage shape. The metal buckle is difficult to fasten with a fidgety pup. A fastex buckle would be a lot easer to work with.

Leta H.: I found this to seem to hard for my dog. I was looking for something a little softer so it could be more comfortable. I never put it on my dog, I just returned it. I'm sure it's a good product and probably does what it's supposed to do. I have a Big Male Boston Terrier with a longer snout so this would have worked for him but I couldn't imagine wearing it myself. Thank you just the same. Khymm: We purchased this for our Corgi. She had it on for about 2 hours in the kennel and when we went to take it off she already had it off and had chewed it up. I gave it 3 stars for durability and sturdiness because I think if a Corgi can get it off and chew it up, other breeds probably will too. For some reason, the strap slipped and allowed her to get her paw in it and pull it off.

Amazon Customer: The muzzle was a bit too big for my dog. It rubs against his eyes when tightened. If I loosen it, my dog can pull it off. The instructions that came with the muzzle said I could request a new one by emailing them at Mayerzon@163.com but the email bounced back.

Cyn: I originally ordered size 2 according to the measurements recommended. It was too big for my puppy. I wrote to the company and the customer service was extremely great and they immediately sent a replacement in size 1 and that fits much better. The quality of the muzzle seems sturdy enough, but I wish the buckle is easier to fasten. I had a hard time to fasten it while the dog was struggling to get it off. I do need to use a collar to secure it to keep it in place.

Samantha Costigan: I received my basket muzzle in the mail 2 days ago.

Sizing: I have an Australian Shepherd and Australian Cattle Dog mix. His muzzle is approx 11.5 in around while moderately panting and about 4.5 in long. So I chose a size #4 based on the size guide. The muzzle is a little large. However, I contacted customer service and they have been great! They are sending me a size #3 free of charge and are letting me keep the larger size as well.

Quality: this is the first basket muzzle I have ever purchased. So I don't have a lot to compare it to. However, the material feels sturdy and durable, but not indestructible. The package insert says to never leave the dog unattended with the muzzle on and based on the flexibility of the material, I would have to agree with this. A dog could easily push its face against something hard and get its teeth around the muzzle to chew on it. This doesn't really affect my dog and I because I mostly got this muzzle to begin muzzle training him for emergency purposes in addition to just wanting him to be able to wear it to the vet and in public as needed without adding stress to potentially already stressful situations.
